Cuba Bound

Hey fellow FOH members. My lovely wife and I are headed for Cuba on January 24. Last year when we were there we wanted to purchase a few bottles of our favorite Rum ( Legendario 7 year old)there was none to be had. I was wondering if anyone recently been in Cuba and spotted this rum anywhere. I would really appreciate any help.

Also the LCDH's in Varadero ...were they well stock with cigars? just trying to make plans.

I just had a friend come back and get me almost everything on my list in terms of cigars. They are well-stocked. As for the rum, I was in Varadero last Deecember (2010) and it was everywhere...?

You can find Varadero 7 years in Europe easily, don't know about availability/pricing in Canada of course, but I always doubt if it's worth schlepping bottles around myself.

Legendario, not Varadero. And it is impossible to find bottles here.

GOD I wish they had Legendario here. its so much better than HC7

Haha, I'll be there on the 23rd on january. I was also there last year and couldn't find any either. Got the answer whilst visiting the Legendario factory, they were in the process of changing labels on the bottles and change the look so they were all taken out for the switch to the new look.

Sorry, my mistake - still: Legendario 7 years also no problem in Europe.

Zathan .... Just look for a Canuck staggering out of the rum store ( next to the 63rd Street LCDH ) with an arm full of cigars and that will be me. My try to find some older stock of cigars at the Playa American cigar store. I believe I read , in one on the discussions, that the cigar store there has older stock. We shall see.
