El Presidente Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 www.ShooAway.com has been launched today in Australia with TV media campaigns beginning this weekend in North Queensland/Darwin and progressively heading south through the continent over summer. I have to give a ton of credit to Smithy and all the ShooAway team. It is not easy running a new product launch, international distributorships, websites, videos, media, legal, manufacturing, shipping etc etc while at the same time trying to keep existing businesses and lives on the straight and narrow. Of course....Smithy and I are on the Patent (Aus and USA) but Smithy is in the TV commercials..Radio...Media shows etal. He is lapping up the attention I of course am the shy retiring type and happy to be in the background Well done Smithy. You have driven this project and I wish you every success.......being of course your success is also mine You can catch him at www.ShooAway.com video. If you would like a unit or two...I am sure he will sign the ShooAway as inventor. PM him direct and he will sign the shooAway unit.
Figaro Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 All the very best Rob, Smithy and ShooAway team! I know it's a hit.

Much like cane toads... In all seriousness, congrats to you guys. As you say, it isn't easy bringing a new product to market, but it's a great product with lots of promise. I'm just surprised we didn't pick up the product when I showed it around here. Little foresight from our buyers. Rob, do me a favour and give the high-talker a congratulatory slap on the back for me! I'll be on the lookout for a secondhand vocal processor to put in his Xmas stocking!

The biggest change was bringing on marketing professionals on board in Phil McDonald and Rob Hudson from George Patterson media. Don't worry Chris, the big box guys are coming on board 2012 which suits us fine.

Smithy now has a wife and 2 kids, instead of lounging around drinking with some old dude... Btw, didn't your son Ben have a small part in the first vid?

Yes..Smithy had wife and kids for the vid.....liked the wife...struggled with the kids That was my youngest Tom in the first vids. I will tell him he was flicked on the weekend.....after he receives a letter from my lawyers terminating any right to royalties
asmith Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 You two having fun? Media tart, Ayala please, the minute the camera is rolling you are pushing your way to the front and making sure the close it of you. I will give Rob along with our other partner Stuart a lot of credit for their business skills they bring to the table. I also do entertain Rob when he thinks he is a designer and suggests ideas for the product. I smile politely, nod and let him think that he has added to the design. As for my instant family I had a couple of discipline issues early on but I quickly sorted them and the wife out!
nubchin Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Wow congrats to you Rob and Smithy !!! I too am working on a patent to begin a company so chears and a big hit for you guys
riazp Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Congrats Guys...Smithy a media that...GEEE I would have never guessed. Phillycyclocross Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 My company recently expanded to AUS and we've been sending people down there by the boatload. They've all had wonderful things to say about the country and the people but everyone has had one complaint. The flies!! Perfect invention. Hope this thing sells like hot cakes. I'll try and figure out how to send this link to the AUS team without getting HR in an uproar. Well done.
Squarehead Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 How about a free unit to demonstrate for all of the FOH members and over a short time you will be overwhelmed with orders. BTW,does it also work against those White Mosquitos(snow) which soon make their apperence in Canada.
thechenman Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Congrats guys. Wish you much success. Are these available in the U.S. yet?
Colt45 Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Smithy now has a wife and 2 kids Interesting, Fuzz - I never considered wife and kids. I figured a sister and her kids, or something like that..... Congrats and best luck, guys.

Colt, a cover marriage is more believable when it's someone besides your sister. Unless of course you're from Tasmania...
