OK, is it just me? Sure, the unofficial scoring had the fight going to Maruez, but thats unofficial and is often off the mark. Sure, I was in a home full of marquez fans.

IS IT JUST ME OR DID THE JUDGES GIVE THAT FIGHT TO PAC-MAN?

It looked from where I was sitting that Pac-Man got out boxed. Surely, whatever the judges saw, I feel Marquez faught a great fight.

Oh well. my money was on pacman anyway, but i didnt feel good collecting on those bets - ok, maybe a little.

I agree with most here, Marquez got robbed. Boxing is a joke. Pac Man lost that fight pure and simple...and this coming from the man who was rooting for pacman in that fight. once it was over, I told my buddies pacman lost. when i heard the decision, it was obvious that boxing pretty much dead. It has no soul.

Once again, it just shows that Pro Wrestling is real and boxing is fake, at least, in the last decade or so.......

Of course pro wrestling is real, everyone knows that

i disagree, i had to watch fight with volume low and i think that helped (blocked out fans cheering every attempted JMM punch). Pacquiao threw more, went forward more, connected far more, and landed more power punches (as confirmed by compubox etc). JMM threw less but connected with a few big shots - although his looked more impressive cos they came from far away (whereas MP's big ones were in close but also rocked JMM - slowmo replays between rounds confirmed that). MP lost his way towards end of fight but JMM wasn't taking full advantage, kept backing off, prob cos the dudes in his corner kept telling him he was ahead when he lost most of the first rounds.

JMM could have won on a night where MP didn't have his usual hyperactive bounce but didn't take his opportunity. Needed a knock down. MP is the title holder and very good at keeping his scoreboard ticking along as he connects, and connects well, hundreds of times in a fight. To take the title against him you need to knock him down cos you ain't gonna outpoint him. Uphill struggle for any counterpunch specialist. Close fight but MP wins. JMM could have won but he needs someone with a reality check or just earplugs in his corner.

was really impressed by JMM good to see him carry the weight properly unlike in his mayweather fight. i'm hoping for a MP JMM IV but gotta feeling MP won't turn up off colour and without a proper 'countering counter-punchers' strategy again. great prep for MP v Mayweather (here's hoping...)

I will reserve comment till I see the replay ........ He got robbed in the first fight, Second was fair in my opinion hard to come back from being knocked to the canvas which happened in the first two fights . Gotta give both fighters credit We have all been entertained

I agree with the kiwi.

Nacho Beristain is a mixed bag. JMM should have pressed more in the final rounds.

Point blank? You gotta take the belt from the champ. No way JMM did that. 115-113 to MP.

How about the Alvarado fight? Awesome.

Anybody else tired of Timothy Bradley?

if i had been watching it in the stadium with 10s of 1000s of screaming mexicans or just in a loud bar i would've thought the same... JMM is fast and throws beautifully accurate punches but MP was faster. There was one slow mo where MP got a good jab in, JMM connected with a great counter hook to the jaw, and even though MP's face was full of JMM's glove he still delivered a stinging counter-counter-punch (!) with his other hand. 2 punches to 1 in a split second, story of the night...

Solid assessment. I had Pacquiao ahead 7-5, and I had it dead even after 8rds. I haven't had a chance to rewatch it and will rescore this weekend. JMM just didn't do enough in the last four rounds to win convincingly. I can understand how some folks might have it 7-5 in favor of Marquez as many rounds were very close, but the cries of "robbery" are way off base. Watch Lara-Williams or Mares-Agbeko for recent examples of real jobs.
