First Lady Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Discusting stuff how any normal sane person can it this I don't know... sticks as well
jay8354 Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Lisa, I think it has to do with training them young to eat the stuff. I am not a fan of Vegemite or Marmite. However, my daughter eats it and likes it. She gets it from Daycare. Then again, I like the king of fruit - durian and my little girl likes it too.

CanuckSARTech Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 This is one of those weird Aussie things! Vegemite, marmite, etc.....bleh!!!! Peanut butter, jam, hazelnut-chocolate spread, etc. THOSE are proper things to put on toast, not this nasty crap!
Fuzz AI Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Discusting stuff how any normal sane person can it this I don't know... sticks as well The basis for Vegemite/Marmite/Aussiemite were failed biological weapons. How anyone can go near that black ooze, let alone eat it, is beyond me.

Vortigan Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Toast, liberal spread of Marmite,a nice mature cheddar on top and under the grill for five minutes....lovely job
Stalebread Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Is that a limited edition or regular production? I'm not much for Vegemite/Marmite but Vortigan's recipe sounds pretty good. There's a German version of yeast extract -- Wurziger Brotaufstrich sandwich spread, that is not so strong and is a little easier to take. .
