Ken Gargett Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 first, many thanks to all who contributed re the nikon camera request. got the 5100 with the 18-55 and 55-300 lenses. have only used it a bit but really happy, so very grateful. and to rob for the recommendation for the place to buy. was talking to a friend who bought a lesser body and just the 18-55 lens elsewhere and paid way more. first apol, sorry i have hardly been on the forum at all of late. been away so much. things unlikely to change till november but will try and do better then. meanwhile, rob asked for four "contributions" a month. sorted for sept and just done two for october so that is my tiny way of staying in touch. second apol, to the paris member who sent me an email about catching up over there. buggered if can find it anywhere and i don't think i responded before i lost it. anyway, the mob organising the trip have lined me up so there is only a day in paris and that is "all work". hopefully next time.
