habanohal Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 I was pretty much right on the price of the cohibas. $490 ....wow, or that is what I see. I think it is getting a bit rediculous and that is a box of 10
Diamondog Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Wow that is crazy high....unfortunately for my wallet I am a Cohiba *****....at least there is pricing starting to show up online so maybe they will be released soon? You've got my order Czar...
habanohal Posted October 2, 2011 Author Posted October 2, 2011 I have seen them all online. Partagas are high too. Will only be trying the hoyas since I really haven't bought a box of cigars since early 2010.
CaptainQuintero Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Link to HSA's RRP prices anywhere? I've had a quick gander but can't see anything. Double the price of BHK just isn't going to cut it for me...BHK just doesn't cut it for me lol.
Trevor2118 Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Hi Guys, Just a reminder. Specific sources are not permitted. If your want specifics, PM the poster. Moderator
Smallclub Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 To agree to pay these prices sends the wrong message to HSA. What a scam…
rckymtn22 Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Wow, that is like "Canadian tax in" prices! I can buy a lot of short & skinny's for that price.

Prices are set by the regional distributers and are significantly affected by local taxes and tarrifs. The difference between cheapest to dearest (worldwide) would be almost a factor of 3.

Ah thanks, God I don't want to even look at what they will be selling in the UK for, if they are generally double BHK they are going to be hitting £60 a stick
aes8 Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 This is where I draw the line. No matter how good they are I just can't justify that type of coin for unproven cigars, and only a 10 ct at that. I'll wait until someone tells me that they are better than Dunhills or 1492s before I even think about it. For that amount of $$ I'd rather purchase Partagas SdC No. 1's/Lonsdales or 08 TEB Cabs of Boli CG or 07 AEP SLR DCs.
lemmycaution Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 I have to draw the line too. I can't see complaining about discontinuing classic cigars and then line up to buy stuff like this...
sblevit Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I haven't seen them yet at any of the duty free retailers. $490 seems high.
FrankBlack87 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 ya theyre 490. just saw em. ridiculous....the RA EL 2011 are 316.... HdM are like 135.
maverickdrinker Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 The 1966s are really good cigars. Beautifully constructed, excellent draw and gorgeous flavours. Eat first before trying one though...
bstarrs Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 316 for the RA seems a little high, but I really want a box of those.
rckymtn22 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 The site I looked at has the 1966's at the same price as the BHK 54's. High but not total out of line, I guess.
Diamondog Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Are you guys seeing these pre sell or has selling actually begun?
docbp87 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 316 for the RA seems a little high, but I really want a box of those. For some reason I think the RA is a 25 ct. box, which to me makes the 316 not seem too ridiculous, when 10 of the Cohibas are closing on 500.

I know it's a 25 count it just seems a little steep considering they are not that large of a cigar. I think they are the same size as a Boli Corona Extra. I was hoping they would be closer in price to the Upmann Mag 48s.
maverickdrinker Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 These are pre release prices right now Steve. Don't know what actual pricing will be.
cckandb24 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 that really is rediculous though. $50 for a cigar

I didn't find the cigar to be that good at all. Seemed like an aged longer Cohiba Maduro Genios to me. It was very strong. Draw like a Padron. I will take Esplendidos all day long.
