Fuzz Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Maybe it's just me, but has anyone else noticed that when you click on an image to see it fullsize, the right side banners overlay on the image? Previously, when I've clicked on pics, IE would either open a new window or tab.
CanuckSARTech Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I've noticed the same. It wouldn't be that annoying if there was a slider bar there, so you could scroll the picture up/down or left/right to see the rest of the zoomed in image, but nope.
Fuzz Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 Just tried it on my desktop PC as opposed to my laptop and it still overlays. Oddly enough, I don't have this problem at home... then again, I use a 24" widescreen monitor at home!
Fuzz Posted October 5, 2011 Author Posted October 5, 2011 I've attached 2 screenshots, one before clicking on the image and one after. Happens on any post with a large image attached. Examples below are from "A Dazzling Trip Back in Time" http://www.friendsofhabanos.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=106396 I'm using IE 7 on both my laptop and desktop (I know, I know, but iI'm at work and I have no choice). Resolution is 1280x800 on the laptop and 1280x1024 on the desktop, however, I didn't have this issue until recently (no changes made to my settings).
Fuzz Posted October 5, 2011 Author Posted October 5, 2011 Oh, and just so you know, as I didn't resize my screenshots before uploading.... it's happening on this post too!
Fuzz Posted October 5, 2011 Author Posted October 5, 2011 I don't mind it too much. Whenever I can't read one of Punch Joe's articles, I just save the image as a jpeg. If possible, is there any chance you can make the full sized images open as a pop-up like it used to?
El Presidente Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 It's the 100% sized images breaking the constraints of the web design. The fix is to reduce the max image size so it doesn't impede on the sidebar. But if it doesn't bother you guys to see large images break the layout, I can leave that as is and attempt to display the sidebar under the image. Let me know and I'll do my codey thing. Jason...It drives me nuts as well. Instigate the best fix possible.
cigcars Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I've just now seen this thread topic. I'm using Google Chrome and my images when I click on to enlarge do disappear in large part blocked by the side bar. I go back to regular Internet Explorer when it's something I'd really like to see. It still gets impeded but I can move the screen back & forth to laboriously see/read the image. Had to do this for the "getting older" (or something to that effect) topic of a week ago. Really 'preciate a fix for this situation
thechenman Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I use Safari...haven't noticed this at all...
