Coffee and Cigars: Good or Bad?

I love a good coffee or espresso with a good cigar

Interesting that so many enjoy sweetened drinks with cigars. It would never occur to me to pair them, but I guess it might work sometimes. For me it's coffee or espresso, black or with a little cream.

I prefer coffee or sparkling water. Sometimes a light bourbon, scotch, or armagnac.

I like to compare cigars with and without coffee. A strong black coffee definitely affects what I perceive in a cigar. To me, it's quite interesting to compare with and without.

I just had a Monte Petit Edmundo with cup of latte after lunch. I don't know why but it was quite bitter.

Weird thing is when I pair the same cigar with red wine, it feels much more creamy, sweet and just smooth all the way.

Do you guys think it is related to coffee? or food? or humidor? or just this cigar I picked up today?
