nick17 Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I was at the LCDH in Toronto this weekend, I showed up just as the employees where and pulled my table with my friend on to the patio and as i was doing so i noticed the rollers table was out and that there was a big bag of cigars when i went back inside i looked a little closer and looked like something nice and familiar. I was smoking a dipplo 2 when I finished and went to get another cigar i was speaking to the roller about the cigar and he i had said ive seen one cigar like that in my life and it was from here and that i didnt know who rolled it all i knew that it was Cuban he then pointed to himself. here are some pics of the cigar i got from him see if you guys can guess who rolled it
Puros Y Vino Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Those are Hamlet's babies. I was there Friday. I missed seeing him but notices a huge bag of his robustos. Might have to grab a few more.
nick17 Posted September 19, 2011 Author Posted September 19, 2011 frank i was talking to him hes a rely nice guy, and these where great even fresh off the table like this one was
riazp Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Yeah I hope hamlet comes to montreal in october, I want a few more of those delicious freshies...that robusto extra shaggy foot was out of this world
Puros Y Vino Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Nick he was at our herf. He is a real hoot to talk to. Like Riaz says, he's the Tony Montana of rollers and man can he roll some sweet cigars. Buy some of his Coronas if you get the chance. I find them to be even better than the robustos.
nick17 Posted September 19, 2011 Author Posted September 19, 2011 ya hes definite a character. he was only rolling these when i was there Saturday I am going back some time today or tomorrow to take my resume to hopefully get a job at the LCDH
riazp Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Better Yet, ask him to roll a skinny cigar and see what he says
Puros Y Vino Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Better Yet, ask him to roll a skinny cigar and see what he says Yeah. I want one of those 18 inch Lanceros that were rolled for Udday Hussein. Hamlet's more likely to roll a baseball bat and smack you with it.
jedipastor Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Are there going to be any more of the Czar customs? I never got a chance to get any and would love to try them.
riazp Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 You and me both Riaz. I still have never tried one of his rolls, but am looking forward to it, hopefully in October! Well if he will be coming Marc from the LCDH will surely send out an email letting us know. We'll defenitly have to have a meet if he does come down...I just hope its not in the week of oct 17th.
mikec Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I picked up five of these babys myself last week (robusto extra's) and also had him use an additional leaf of ligero which may have been a mistake. I had to try one even though they where still moist and holy crap it almost floored me. They where extremely strong, but incredibly flavourful. I will now hide these at the back of my cabinet for a long time. I also had him roll me three flying pigs which I have to pick up today hopefully.
riazp Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 whats the flying pig? whats the approximage RG/length?

maverickdrinker Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Guys, I don't think Hamlet is going to Montreal. Another roller is there now. He is heading to Vancouver for the next 2 weeks and then staying in Toronto until he leaves. (At least that is what the plans are now) Those Flying Pigs look small to me..... For those in MTL, I'd be happy to pick up some Hamlets for you and send them off. He is charging $20.00 per stick. PM me directly if you want me to pick some up for you as I bought quite a few from him and would be happy to share.
maverickdrinker Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 What thread did the picture of the pigs come from?
cadillacdoc Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 whats the flying pig? whats the approximage RG/length? Closed on both ends............5 1/4" in length.....56 at the pigtailed foot gradually tapering to 52 at the cap.

headstand Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 I was at the LCDH in Toronto this week This is a bit off topic, but really you can't have a drink with your cigar at the LCDH in Toronto. This country of our is so uncivilized.
AlohaStyle Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Is anyone headed out to Vancouver shops when Hamlet is in town? I don't know his full schedule but I'm hoping to make it up maybe Sept 30th from the Seattle area... can someone confirm his other dates/shops besides being at City Cigar?
