Anyone have firt hand tasting notes on Y'Quem? A very good friend gifted me a bottle of 1980 for my 30th birthday. He told me it was an off vintage like me but you wouldn't have known it. Beautiful layers of tropical fruit, honey, a little caramel and toasted nuts. Finish goes on for days. It's a wine worth breaking the bank for, in my humble opinion, having been gifted it. Not overly sweet, but this is a 30 year old bottle -- I am sure younger vintages are much more fruit forward and sweet.
