Wow...there's nothing like a nice aged d'Yquem...

A bottle of Y'Quem is on my bucket list. Though I find it difficult to imagine how much better it is than the other Sauterne's I've tried. Anyone have firt hand tasting notes on Y'Quem?

A very good friend gifted me a bottle of 1980 for my 30th birthday. He told me it was an off vintage like me :D but you wouldn't have known it.

Beautiful layers of tropical fruit, honey, a little caramel and toasted nuts. Finish goes on for days. It's a wine worth breaking the bank for, in my humble opinion, having been gifted it. Not overly sweet, but this is a 30 year old bottle -- I am sure younger vintages are much more fruit forward and sweet.

OK fine, if you insist I'll whine for Ken:

- Rob won't let me post anything on US politics or religion,

- short cigars sucks,

- guns, guns, guns,...

- the end of the world is coming (recent cigar review)

- the whole world is on our case (lawyers),

- pink shorts will come back in fashion,

- cool t-shirts are entirely acceptable on TV,

- etc.

Feel free to add to this list FOH bros,

:D:D
