cigarsinformation Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 I've just ordered a 25 box of these and I'm looking forward to trying them and maybe reviewing them. I've heard a lot of good reports about them and they were highly recommended rating in Smoke Magazine. They are very affordable and only 9,000 boxes are made yearly for the worldwide market. Having said that it took me a while to find a seller and he only had one box left.

Stalebread Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 I still have 10 or so boxes of Cupido (Churchill and Piramide) from 10 years ago. . . . Maybe they're due for a video review? Have they aged gracefully?
CaptainQuintero Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Box-pressed figurados? That seems strange to me for some reason
cigcars Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 If I'm not mistaken, I believe they come out of Kiki Bergman's Cuban Crafters factory (in Florida?)

cigarsinformation Posted July 24, 2011 Author Posted July 24, 2011 If I'm not mistaken, I believe they come out of Kiki Bergman's Cuban Crafters factory (in Florida?) I think you are correct. I emailed Cubancrafters to order a couple of boxes to be sent to the UK but didn't hear back so I bought them at IndulgeCigars. From the Cuban Crafters website: "They are the original boutique premium cigars that have won so many awards throughout the world. Produced using perfectly aged Cuban-seed habano long leaf binder and filler, Commemorative are wrapped in ultra premium Criollo wrappers with a dark and smooth silky sheen. Smoking a Cupido Commemorative cigar is an experience not to be missed by any serious cigar lover. You can see and feel the extra care and skill it took to make it. When smoking it you will notice the clouds of smoke with a unique medium to full-body taste that can not be compared to any other premium cigar available. All the Cuban seed tobacco used in each Commemorative is from the Cupido Vegas, a small tobacco field in Esteli, Nicaragua that yields extra rich tobacco. Every cigar is individually rolled by the expert hands of the traditional Torcedores of Tabacalera Esteli. Commemorative come in handcrafted Cedar boxes, made from the finest cedar available in the mountains of Nicaragua. Each top rated Cupido Criollo Comandante is 5 1/2 inches long with a ring gauge of 54. Each cedar box is numbered and contains 25 cigars. It is also dated with the packing date and signed by all the cigar artisans that created these works of art. Only 9,000 boxes are made yearly for the worldwide market."
El Presidente Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Cool, have you tried any? any boxes for sale? Seriously you don't want any of mine. They have aged to a point of being tasteless That is not to say what they are producing today is very good. Find out and let us know!
