jman Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Had a great fathers day weekend, finished Saturday with lobster tail, crab legs drenched in samelia and of course the evening ended with a fine partagas series p 2 with a glass of abunadh 16 year old scotch on a sunset cruise. Loved every minute of the partagas..strong and hearty

It's beautiful My father came over to my house (we declared it a no woman day), and we grilled a leg of lamb. I paired it with (two) lovely bottles of a Croatian red wine called Bura Dingac (Made from a Croatian grape called Plavac Mali---which is supposedly the genetic "father" of the Zinfandel grape.) This wine is LOADED with terroir. Here are some photos of the vineyard in Croatia from the winemakers website. It's right on the croatian coast: Anyways, after a great meal with great wine and great conversation we had a cigar. Now if you know my father, you know that he has never had a cigar. He was hesitant to have one with me. We both smoked a Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona. Afterwards, he asked me FOR ANOTHER CIGAR, and said "Wow, now I know why you smoke cigars every day. I can't believe what I've been missing out on." I was thrilled to say the least. We smoked the cigars, we drank some great rum, he told me stories from his life. We talked and drank until two am that night. It was one of the best nights I have ever had with my father. And I am so happy that I got him to finally have, and enjoy, a good cigar. -Plato

Anytime we smoke a cc it is truly a treat because its not easy get them in the states. We all have a passion for cigars, which makes all holidays great. Your pics are cool. You gotta love cigars, food, drink, and good family
