SmokinAces Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Do you guys take the cigars out of the tubes so they can breath or leave them in?
Warren Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 If you remove them from the tube they are much easier to light.
rsd Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 If you remove them from the tube they are much easier to light. Personally I leave the cigar in the tube, but the tube open in a desktop humidor, but I have no clue what the best option is.
Colt45 Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 I've always left them in their tubes, caps on. Personally, I've found that tubed cigars retain moisture a little longer, taking a bit more time to shed that moisture in the humidor. I do kind of like the idea of a micro climate within the climate of a humidor, but I don't know if that really amounts to anything. regardless, it's worth checking tubed cigars for any kind of mold.

Lotusguy Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 +1 +2 I immediately open and check all tubos upon receipt and then again after a few weeks. Otherwise they remain sealed in my humi.
Habanakane21 Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 I open them up for a quick look and then put them back in their homes for safe keepin's!! They look pretty that way in my cabinet!!
CUBANO Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Live them in the tube. just check them once in awhile.
Whodat Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Mine stay in the tube. Except for the spot check every so often.
thechenman Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 I'm with Colt. I check all my tubos cigars for mold when i get them, but store the cigars in their tube with the cap on.
