Mel Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 I'd smoke em both. I do know what I like but it is nice to read what others think. FOH is a great place and the folks have a niced sense of humor.

The one that drives me nuts is the person who says, "I just ordered a box of 2005 Bolivar Churchills. What should I expect?" It seems to me that the time to ask that question is BEFORE you decided to spend your money an a cigar you know nothing about. <>

shrink Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 TR: FOH is a very welcome addition to the Cigar BB world, in particular because Rob, Lisa, Ken and the rest of the crew give it real personality, and a unique point of view. I am especially pleased that FOH doesn't take itself too seriously. These people, and the rest of those who have joined the board as regulars, feel like real friends to me.
El Presidente Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Hell you guys make this board. To be honest we have only had one dickhead join and he has been barred. Looking below we have 687 registered members from a zero February 2005 start....and only one dickhead (no...not Ken....OK we possibly have two ).

I think its says alot to be part of a great community where you can be yourself and not have a bunch of pretenious snobs hanging round. I for one cant stand that. Props to Rob and the rest - as well as us members- together we make up in my opinion, the BEST cigar community online.
mgillett Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I will second that Cigarhead. I am a relative newcomer to the wonderful world of Habanos and the info I have picked up from the always patient forum members has been first class. Having met a few of them the other night over a couple of Cuba's finest I have to say the online personalities reflect the real world. Now Rob, where is that wine/cigar storage cabinet you were trying to come up with, I reckon I have the missus convinced that the house would look better with one of those in the corner of the sitting room...
TR Posted November 23, 2005 Author Posted November 23, 2005 another reason why FOH rocks is the rules and regulations..........:-P
TR Posted November 23, 2005 Author Posted November 23, 2005 » another reason why FOH rocks is the rules and regulations..........:-P • If you have been ejected from another board, e-mail me for a consideration of probation. Don’t hold your breath. • Have fun. We love a laugh as much as the next man. If however we have to detail for you what are acceptable subjects to post and discuss…find another Forum. • If you don’t like a laugh or object to someone having a harmless laugh at your expense…find another Forum. • If you find the above has not enough structure for you…find another Forum. find another forum........FOH rocks!;-)

But back to Lisa and the downunder accent..(I know you don't have the accent I do, whatever I like it;-) ) Rob
Ginseng Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 The single biggest reason FOH is one of only two boards I visit daily and with regularity is as follows: There is an air of civility and respect that permeates the communications here. It's evident from shared accounts of cigar smoking experiences that most of the folks here are far more "adult" than the majority at other boards. I may only be in my forties, but my tolerance for ostentation and obnoxiousness is pretty darn near nil. No crazy bombing one-upsmanship, no childish dogpiles and no testosterone soaked chest beating. Bravo to you all and to El Presidente for keeping such an estimable house. You have my gratitude. Wilkey
skid11 Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Since Tossers and Whingers are barred it only leaves us fine upstanding gentlemen ............... That's why FOH is the best
strayvector Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Any more of these posts and Rob won't be able to fit into his pink and black cap.:-D Seriously though, this is the most fun, yet equally informative board about cigars on the net. That's why I hang out here...that and Rob hasn't barred me for whinging yet.:crying:

strayvector Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 » » Can someone enlighten me? What exactly is "whinging?" » » Wilkey Its one of them words that our non-American english speaking brothers like to confuse us with. Whinging is the art of whining/complaining about something without doing anything about it.
^nsmoke Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Great place, nobody takes themselves seriously, just a bunch of blokes and of course LISA having a good time. The voices say they only want to talk to Lisa but of course they're the ones hogging the cigars. Almost there more posts
