To be perfectly honest, this has been around for decades. It is mainly used in processed food (ever wondered how they get square ham loaf?).

It's not as common as the vid would have you believe, but it is in practice.

that's why my parents have been telling me to stay away from the processed stuff...

they are right once again...damn it...

my company used to use that stuff in a previous project. The people involved didn't really appreciate the term "meat glue", they preferred to call the process "bonding".

Personally I don't care for it, but really if you're going to eat parts of an animal anyway it's no big deal.
