The Cons win a Majority Gov't in the Canadian National Election today......I know there is some teeth gnashing out there tonight, but I for one could not be happier - the Con's are great supporters of our Armed Forces and support Canada's overseas commitments........and as a Navy man, thats exactly what I was hoping for! A Cohiba Siglo III is dryboxing now for the celebration tommorow!

Congrats Stephen Harper - make it worth our while to give you that Majority!

Jack Layton - Don't...stop....until....you get....the job...done. By job, I mean figuring out who your 50+ new MPs from Quebec are......the ones you never thought had a hope in hell of winning their seat.

I am very happy with the outcome. It's nice to know that we can now go a good four years without another federal election.

Me as well. It was most enjoyable to watch Iggy and Duceppe crash and burn last night. To not even win your own seat has to be humiliating.

I'm interested to see how PM Harper and Layton interact as majority government and official opposition. Although I'm not a supporter of the NDP they do have good platform on some social issues and if they find a way to work together they could be a successful government.

I'm just glad not to have to bear another Federal election for four whole years now!

Tired of listening to all the promises that will not be fulfilled.

Dont think it will ever happen. I just hope they allow smoking in cigars shops, though thats something that has to happen at the provincial level.
