I dropped into North America's last handmade Cuban cigar factory outside of Cuba last week to set up a tour.

We're tentatively scheduled for Saturday, April 16th at 4pm for a tour and to meet their head roller, Titi. We'll follow with dinner in the area, then a herf. For those not in the know, Correnti is at 606 King St W (up the alley along Portland).

Due to the "private" nature of the event :D anyone interested in joining in, please PM me for more details!

Very cool, Don Pedro. Thanks for looking into that for us.

I may be up for that on that date. A few things to maybe juggle around, but I think I can make myself free and clear for that day. Will update and let you know once things are sorted out down here.

Again, very cool option for a herf / get-together. Thanks for following up on that lead for the group.

Cheers.

This is now confirmed!

Anyone have any suggestions on where to eat in the area?

My recommendation is Lou Dawgs http://www.loudawgs.com/flash.html

mmm, pulled pork...

I was going to suggest Lou Dawgs also Don Pedro. I have been there a few times and always enjoyed it. Good food good prices and very close to F. Corentti's

Does For Your Eyes Only serve food? I mean the edible/ingestible kind.

I'd only eat the red snapper if it was cooked - raw, it could be a killer. :):2thumbs:

I called Correnti's and placed an order for Saturday. I was looking at their selection http://www.correnticigars.com/cigars.php and figured they wouldn't have some of the less common sizes. I ordered the Fancy Tail and some Lonsdales. Thought I'd share in case others were thinking the same. See you all on Saturday!

Well, unfortunately fellas, I think I'll actually have to bow out for this one. Something has popped up in the recent days, and I'll be able to share it all with you tomorrow, but it will preclude me from being able to attend this weekend.

Sorry, but thanks again to Don Pedro for putting this together for us - I really wish I was able to come out!

Hey, no worries, just hope everything's ok? And we'll probably be doing this again anyway!

Have a great time guys. It looks like I will be down in Mexico doing the AI thing and smoking stogies too. My own, not the fakes that abound down there. B)
