Just had a Cohiba Robusto from February 2010 on Friday night. Dam, it was wonderful. I am normaly not a huge fan for the price point, but this one was spot on. Started perfect with no bite and finshed perfectly. Has anyone else had luck with Cohiba Robusto's lately.

I smoked an '08 just the other day - good, but I feel they're still coming together.

Cool, thanks for the heads up. I have a box of 08's that I haven't touched and was thinking about firing one up soon. Maybe I'll give them some more time.

Part of me wants to say it can't hurt to try one and see where they're at. Part of me wants to say wait another year, which is my intention for my next.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions... :D

Colt45, what is your box code and date? The one I have is USE 09/08.

I have a box of May 2008 "USE" and a box of August 2008 "EST". The May '08 USE ones have been in their stride pretty much from day one. The August '08 EST ones just seemed to get into proper form in the 2nd half of last year. Fingers crossed that this next summer will show them both starting to hit their prime, if not at least showing better improvements to be seen in the years ahead.

I've come to realize that CoRo's of recent years definitely need 3 years to really find themselves, and get some potential greatness to them. Compared to my other, and newer, robusto favourites now, the Trinidad Robustos T's, the CoRo's really need time, while the Trini's are great at pretty much the get-go, but are more muted in their nuances and flavours.

I'm planning to get a box of 2009 and 2010 CoRo's to age for a few years, and see how they compare over time. It's amazing how much of this recent 2009 and 2010 stuff has just improved leaps and bounds over the offerings from H S.A. from a few years before. A very exciting time to be a cigar smoker, that's for sure.

I was really impressed. Usually not a fan of young cigars, but this was rich and refined. HSA is really picking up their quality.
