warren516
Order 2-3 singles and try them and see which you like best. That's the way to go I think.
daboose
Assuming you've never smoked them before ... do copious amounts of singles of everything before investing in a box! Let your palette be the guide. imho
Kangaroo495
Bloody hell! Immensely tough decision. I reckon VR, because they probably need to be aged less. Regios seem to be too harsh when young. Although, if you're into aging, then I'd probably go Regios, as I'm a big fan of SLR. They reach really spectacular heights when cared for properly. PigFish
Buy three types of Petit Coronas for the same coin. Get more smoking time and more robust cigars! ... I am never much help! -Piggy
ksblazer
I'm like them both, but if I had to pick one? I'd go with the Regios. The recent ones I've tried have been smoking very well.

ajgagnon
The Famosos I've had were amazingly chocolatey in character... something new to me. I think they're fantastic. I'm not as familiar with the Regios, but I would suspect they're more middle of the road in comparison.
bassman
Very different flavor profiles. I can't tell what YOU would like. Go with previous advice & buy a couple singles of each. Then you can decide instead of going by someone else's likes.

ryans
I agree with the guys above; try a few singles of both before blindly buying a whole box. When it comes to a cigar I've never tried before I usually try 3-5 singles over one to two months to really see if I like it enough to commit to purchasing a box. Ellery
Good luck with this one, big fan of both. If buying both boxes isn't an option, I say buy 10 of each.

Habanakane21
I've only had the VR and it was pretty good. I've been wanting to try a Regio for years but haven't got around to ordering a box. Soon....soon

The SLR regios are on of the best values cigars out there IMO. I think you'll like your purchase. As I mentioned earlier the recent (08-10) regios have been very tasty.
