CigarCyclopedia.com closed on January 31, 2011.

Many thanks to our readers for their years of support.

I saw that a few days ago. Their pricing info could be helpful, but they also listed sources that were known to sell fakes along with legit sources.

Those lists are no loss....but I wonder what happens to Rick Perelman's Pocket Cyclopedias?

....or Rick Perelman himself?

Not much of a Twitter guy, but looks like Rich Perelman gave a bit of a head's up as to the closure of the webpage, although no reasons for the closure....

Years back, I used to check out their webpage a bit, but then I too got frustrated with the listing of known-fakes dealers.

I started using another great little webpage, maybe you've heard of it Trevor.... ;):D:D

I was very disappointed to see this site closed simply because of lack of funds.

It was one of those rare sites that, every day, gave out so much info on all those NC's, that

I would have thought that the big NC guys would have given them their support.

Not only did they give the info about those pepper sticks, but were quite well informed on what was going on

in the world of Habanos and other tobacco countries.

For years on the site, I found that they posted loads of articles on unexpected sujects and treated it

very professionally.

It's truly a shame that a site like CigarCyclopedia.com , with all they have contributed to the cigar world and community,

that no one is there when times are hard, It's a real cruel world where objective information has become a rare commodity.

They listed well known sellers of counterfeit cuban cigars in their top 10 list....every single week. Why would they do this?

Rich posted on the site a few weeks ago that he had lost a sponsor or something to that effect. He said he would try to keep the site, with existing content, up as long as possible.

It's a real loss, he had some great articles on there.
