MoneyPit Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 We just got back from vacation and I finished reading Sh*t My Dad Says while we were gone. This book is hands down the funniest I have ever read. I can't remember the last time I laughed so much from a book that I've read. The book is a collection of short life stories and quotes from the author and his father. I've tried watching the sitcom, but it's just plain awful and it does the book no justice. Check it out if you're looking for a good laugh.

MoneyPit Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 have it back at home and been keen to find time to have a read. will do when back. I usually find it very hard to sit down long enough to start a book. However, this was the easiest reading I've done in quite a while. The book is only about 160 pages and once I started I couldn't put it down. I think I read the entire book in about 2-3 hours minus the time that I was reading the quotes to the people around me that kept asking what I was laughing at.
bassman Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Excellent book. As for the TV show, Shatner was funnier as Captain Kirk. Then again, TV shows are only as good as the writers. Give great actors crappy scripts & you have "The Fockers".
CBL Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Been wanting to read this book ever since I saw some Twitter quotes online! Just need to find it in the shops or wait till I can order another bundle of books on Amazon (together with Sterling's Gold!) First I need to read Jay-Z's Decoded and Anthony Bourdain's Medium Raw during Chinese New Year. Hopefully accompanied by a good cigar
