aes8 Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Has anybody tried these yet? I'm curious as to what your opinions are about this cigar. thanks
dcse Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 One of my absolute favourites. Have two boxes resting in my humidor. So far, I have enjoyed five singles. Great smokes, great vitola. A brave move to go for a skinny RE. I wish others would follow. I expect the cigars will improve even further over the coming years, so I have really some great expeciences in the pipeline.

I agree...great taste in these, but to much quality problems. I've had several underfilled cigars that completely destroyed the smoking experience...
laficion Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Hi aes9, I reviewed this great cigar early this year as a homage to a great member and Moderator of FOH, Chuck Vaughan-Lloyd,(TAMPA) who passed away much too early and who now is enjoying some great thin gauge cigars up there in the big humidor in heaven. bassman Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Only smoked one so far, but it was excellent. Good strenth & a combo of earth & spice flavors.
El Presidente Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 I agree...great taste in these, but to much quality problems. I've had several underfilled cigars that completely destroyed the smoking experience... Seeing less of this Kjell over the past 6 months. Let's hope they have rectified the problem.
cigcars Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 *Unfortunately, my Bolivar Especiales Alamenia RE was very empty of flavor and substance. I wanted to like it, as I do with all the Regionals. It was like smoking empty air.
Tom Bolivar Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Great cigar if well constructed. One of my favourite ERs. Make sure to get it from a source that checks cigars for beeing underfilled prior to sending them.
