rdb6 Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 For me it was a Lusitania from 01 smoked 8 years ago for the Super Bowl. A glorious smoke.
sansei Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 For me, it would be an '03 Cohiba Siglo VI, followed closely by a Cohiba Sublime 2004 EL. And I swear I'm not a Cohiba Ho.
micahzeff Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 08 HDM Palmas Extra, last in the box. Most had a tight draw, six were completely plugged. Started out with rich woodsy smoke for about the first 1/2 inch. Then abruptly shifted into the most creamy, buttery smoke poured over roasted nuts. It more than made up for the rest of the crap box.
B.HOBS Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 H.Upmann Mag 50, smoked at Buena Vista Lounge in Beverly Hills. I have not had another Mag 50 like it. Flavors were just phenomenal, burn was crisp. It all just come together that night.
Leopolis Semper Fidelis Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 I'm not a fan of the Romeo y Julieta Churchill, but the most enjoyable Havana I can ever recall having was one of those, a tubed version bought as a single from a small city tobacconist, and smoked, more than twenty years ago. Absolutely superb! I've never had the like since.
tugboat Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Would have to be the Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2 Early 90's bought at Fox in London.
groza Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Tubed Montecristo Petit Edmundo, smoked on the last night of my summer break.
SethG Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Had to be a Dunhill Cabinetta for me, although the Cohiba Sublime XL comes in a close second.

whiskeynwine Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 For me it was my first real cuban cigar. I think it was a Cohiba Robusto, not really sure, but whatever it was turned me on to one of the most pleasurable experiences known to man. Many people tell me other cigars are just as good. No Way!
ColKurtz Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Easy, My first CC - a Partagas Short. Really turned me on to what a good cigar can be. I'm sure I've had better smokes since then, but I'm still chasing down new rabbit holes to regain that experience. Superb in every way.
#2 man Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 I don't recall any 100 pt stand out perfect cigars but have had plenty 90-95 very good cigars with good company making them even better my latest was probably a Cohiba VI after Thanksgiving dinner as the sun set on the mountains listening to the coyotes and enjoying a conversation with my son.......Priceless!!!!!
sharks Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 It would have to be a 2004 Cohiba Robusto just fantastic Sharks
asmith Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 The last cigar I smoked is always the best ever
Ken Gargett Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 The last cigar I smoked is always the best ever with the greatest respect, smithers, platitudes and cliches of that ilk are absolute nonsense. get off the fence.
Leopolis Semper Fidelis Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 It must have been a fake! Gulp! Are you telling me that fakes are better than the genuine article? My theory is that maybe, just once in a century, the most fantastic cigar has a RyJ Churchill band affixed to it in error - and I was the fortunate bloke who found it!!
Leopolis Semper Fidelis Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 with the greatest respect, smithers, platitudes and cliches of that ilk are absolute nonsense. get off the fence. Hear, hear! But what if Andrew had said: The last cigar I smoked is always the worst ever?
CanuckSARTech Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 I've thought long and hard about this question, since it was first posted. I've unfortunately come to the conclusion that I just haven't yet found that one cigar that I could say is the "Best Ever". I have some that I really like, but that are inconsitent a bit when scoring/rating. For me, something that is the "Best Ever" has to fairly consistently (4 out of 5 times maybe) score in the mid- (93, 94) to high-90's (96, 97). I haven't had one cigar yet that I would say even hit into that "classic" realm of the upper 90's. I've only had a few cigars that have hit 94 for me - one of which was a recently received Montecristo No. 4 PSP box from Czar's (phenomenal - review to be placed tomorrow probably). And I really hope this whole box hits along that scoring line, and by my breakdown, it could potentially get into the Best Ever realm for me. But, unfortunately, Monte 4's are very inconsistent from box to box generally - maybe I just need to stock up excessively on these PSP boxes from Czar with the same date code!!! Maybe an overly analytical way of looking at it, and sorry if this is a bit distracting from the main post, but it's just my thoughts on this. I am truely striving for that one Best Ever cigar, and I do hope I find it soon....
