For me it was a Lusitania from 01 smoked 8 years ago for the Super Bowl. A glorious smoke.

08 HDM Palmas Extra, last in the box. Most had a tight draw, six were completely plugged. Started out with rich woodsy smoke for about the first 1/2 inch. Then abruptly shifted into the most creamy, buttery smoke poured over roasted nuts. It more than made up for the rest of the crap box.

H.Upmann Mag 50, smoked at Buena Vista Lounge in Beverly Hills. I have not had another Mag 50 like it. Flavors were just phenomenal, burn was crisp. It all just come together that night.

I'm not a fan of the Romeo y Julieta Churchill, but the most enjoyable Havana I can ever recall having was one of those, a tubed version bought as a single from a small city tobacconist, and smoked, more than twenty years ago. Absolutely superb! I've never had the like since.

It must have been a fake! :2thumbs:

For me it was my first real cuban cigar. I think it was a Cohiba Robusto, not really sure, but whatever it was turned me on to one of the most pleasurable experiences known to man. Many people tell me other cigars are just as good. No Way!

Easy,

My first CC - a Partagas Short. Really turned me on to what a good cigar can be. I'm sure I've had better smokes since then, but I'm still chasing down new rabbit holes to regain that experience. Superb in every way.

I've thought long and hard about this question, since it was first posted. I've unfortunately come to the conclusion that I just haven't yet found that one cigar that I could say is the "Best Ever".

I have some that I really like, but that are inconsitent a bit when scoring/rating. For me, something that is the "Best Ever" has to fairly consistently (4 out of 5 times maybe) score in the mid- (93, 94) to high-90's (96, 97). I haven't had one cigar yet that I would say even hit into that "classic" realm of the upper 90's. I've only had a few cigars that have hit 94 for me - one of which was a recently received Montecristo No. 4 PSP box from Czar's (phenomenal - review to be placed tomorrow probably). And I really hope this whole box hits along that scoring line, and by my breakdown, it could potentially get into the Best Ever realm for me. But, unfortunately, Monte 4's are very inconsistent from box to box generally - maybe I just need to stock up excessively on these PSP boxes from Czar with the same date code!!! ;)

Maybe an overly analytical way of looking at it, and sorry if this is a bit distracting from the main post, but it's just my thoughts on this. I am truely striving for that one Best Ever cigar, and I do hope I find it soon....
