How unfortunate! This is a favorite of mine. Good examples have a cream base with lovely woody aromatics (cedar and such). Important to get a good box. Underfilling can certainly be an issue.

Anyway. Pick a better box and try again mates!

I got a box of these in 09.

early in life they were absoloutely awfull, and I thought I may have been"sold a pup"

Now though, they are smoking beautifully,if a lttle underfilled.

Some cigars(probably most) need to be left alone for a while.......I humbly learn.

At 7:28 I heard Rob throw out another "wooo owoo".

I think he's turning into the Chatanooga Choo Choo.

THanks for the review gents. When I think of JL1, I think of it as a cousin to the Mag46 - I expect it to be brilliant, with different attributes. A shame that your examples performed so poorly...

Warren and Brendan bringing some sanity and class to the program yet again - bravo!!!!

What are you saying, I have no class?

A beautiful day on the deck and it should be matched with a beautiful cigar.

LOL. That's along the lines of what I "would" say to get my foot out of my mouth. :peace:

You have both, Smithy. Unfortunately, Rob and/or Ken may pull you into their tirades from time to time. ;)

Spot on describing the flavour of an flawless JLS1 Khomein! I have found these to be perfect cigars for sharing with friends that love cigars but dont smoke very often.

My problem with many of these however has been a fair share of overfilled, tight ones that have gone straight in the bin. Shame when it happens on such a great cigar.
