El Presidente Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Partagas Serie P No 1 Jars. For those interested contact Lisa USD $600 AUD $995 There are those (such as myself) who occasionally will splurge for a Knick knak. I actually love these Jars. No idea about the cigars or how good they are....I just love the Jar. Shallow I am but to me it is far more visually appealing than the book series. They are about as limited as the next time HSA doesn't pay the Jar bill. Still we are not seeing that many (5 a month). If anyone is interested contact drop a line to Lise.
investandprosper Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 I love the look of these. $600 breaks my budget, but it pains me to think of what this will cost in 5 years
Guest rob Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 What is the story behind the lone cigar wrapped in paper? What's all that about?
CBL Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 What is the story behind the lone cigar wrapped in paper? What's all that about? It's for easy access So you can pull one out without damaging the surrounding cigars.
godfathermint Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 OH MY GOD! Those look incredibly sexy! I'd really want one but I can't afford $600 at the moment. Guess I'll have to plan a bank robbery.. =(
drubcurtis Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 I'm with you Pres, I'm sure the cigars are great but I just want one of those damn jars!
CanuckSARTech Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Hot. I was actually talking with another member about these in PM a bit ago. I remember hearing about them when first announced about their release - I love the idea, and even without tasting the profile, I too want some even just for the overall packaging. That said, these are a HELL of a lot more expensive than I thought they would be. Never even dreamed that they would be priced up this high - it's just a unique vitola and packaging, not with already-aged tobaccos like the EL's. I just don't know if it's worth double (or triple) the cost of some other similar stock. That said, I may eventually get some, but probably around New Years with some Christmas money from the Mrs. I've got too many other things to re-stock up on in the meantime. And/or, if I'm lucky, I may find them on the cheap in a LCDH store in Cuba on my November trip - probably not though, knowing my luck. Excellent pics though, Pres. Definitely gets the mouth watering to see that...
in0gravity Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 And the cigars are mouthwatering as well. Had one the other day. Similar to the RA Belicosos RE Germany.
cgarner Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 would live a jar but not for $600 too many other cigars I need to buy.
Disburden Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 That jar is pretty cool, someone should buy and review.
jsd Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Very cool. Would love to have one to display but unfortunately I could never justify the cost.
Nino Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Love the P2 anyway, so I smoked the P1 last Saturday and while it is young it is already quite tasty and will improve in time. The jar is a beauty. Nino
CanuckSARTech Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Excellent, Nino. I enjoyed the writeup and pictures. The vineyard tour looked fun. Over the last 2 or 3 years, we're starting to get amazing amounts of investment in my municipality in Southwestern Ontario with lots of those wind turbines, and even the solar power farms/fields. Very interesting. There's many people around who don't like it (noise pollution, potential negative health effects, they're ugly to look at, disturb birds, etc., etc.), but most people find their rebuttals to be nothing but hogwash and hot air. My area badly needs the investment, and we all need clean power - much better than having a coal or natural gas power plant in your backyard instead. Don't worry - we'll catch up to the common-sense of Europe soon enough!
