in0gravity Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Hello all, after a stressfull Friday decided to treat me with the new Ramon Allones Belicosos Regional Edition for Germany. And boy what a cigar it was . Here is the review: Right from the get go an explosion of flavors, heavy dark chocolate notes paired with espresso flavors. Which disappeard after the first third and were replaced by juicy/meaty flavors with a touch wood and peanut in the background. The cigar reminded me of a grilled juicy steak with mashed potatoes. These flavors stayed until the end. Throughout the cigar had a mouth watering taste which were enhanced by the wine ( an argentinian malbec from '08) which I was pairing it with. The cigar stayed well balanced throughout. Never got harsh or bitter. The perfect cigar after a stressfull day with a excellent wine. Overall I rate it 94/95. Here are some photos enjoy Lars
bassman Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I'm really liking this cigar. For me, much better than the UK version. Can't beat a good Argentine Malbec either.
laficion Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I'm really liking this cigar. For me, much better than the UK version. Same goes for me Love the cigar and really enjoyed the review Thanks for sharing, hope next week will be better and less stressfull
lemmycaution Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Thanks for the review, I keep hearing great things about these cigars. I'm glad you enjoyed them so much.
ehdg Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Totally have to agree these are very nice cigars and I think they will get even better with time. They have some nice strength to them.
khomeinist Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 These are excellent. I hope that this blend will be used for a regular production belicoso or corona gorda in the near future.
Leopolis Semper Fidelis Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 I, too, have heard lots of glowing reports about this vitola, with no contrary opinions being expressed; can't wait to try one!
CanuckSARTech Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 So then, most are finding that the Germany blend is different and/or maybe better than the U.K. blend? What are the variables that you guys are finding?
