It was the summer of 1986. We had just got our drivers licenses that year, WE WERE FREE , and decided to go on an epic 8 day backpacking trip in the Adirondacks. I went to the local B&M for the 1st time and had the guy pick me out about 20 sticks for my friends and I to sample.

I've been hooked ever since.

1970 on a family vacation to Vancouver, I was almost 16. My father was a pipe smoker but always enjoyed a Cuban cigar, I said "they sell Cuban cigars up here don't they" so we went out and got a nice selection.

I don't remember my first cigar, it was when I was lighting my 3rd of the day and my father said "your going to get sick" as I fired up a Monte Especials. All I tasted was cinnamon, coffee, carmel, roasted nuts and cream, I knew I wasn't going to get sick, I was wondering what I'd smoke after dinner.

Been in love ever since that day!

My first cigar was in 2005. Driving home from work everyday I passed a Casa Del Habano and I've always have been intrigued by the aroma and visual appeal, so I stopped in and bought a RyJ tubo #3. Now I have three humidors with a little more than 200 cigars and a wide assortment of cutters and lighters. And I must say that I enjoy Habanos more than any other cigar (exception guantanamera)

My dad smoked them, I already smoked cigarettes, and when I turned 18, I thought it was the cool thing to do... Bought a macanudo, and the rest is history...
