jman Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 I am thinking about purchasing a box of Partagas Series P 2. What do guys think of this cigar?
SofaKing Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 I am thinking about purchasing a box of Partagas Series P 2. What do guys think of this cigar? Excellent stick I have some from 2006 and an 2008 both spot on. I believe there are a couple reviews around on the site.
ahbroody Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Likely my favorite regular production stick right now. Burned through an 09 box fast. Suprised at how good they were fresh. Really need to buy another box, but it will likely meet the same early end.
gginflo Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 My 09 box of 25 is half gone. Very consistant and quite tasty.
cigcars Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Have some in the Tubos. Smoked one, very very well flavored and pleasant. Am letting the rest age for awhile. So far, 4 months lying in wait. Will probably sample another one in the next 3 months.
mash Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 A rich, full-bodied cigar. I have a box of '06, and I think they really benefit from a few years age.
edameff Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 I'm glad you posted this question, I discovered these gems about a year ago and WOW. I think they are great, surprisingly smooth even young. This has become one of my go to cigars. I think you will love them, let us know what you decide.
jman Posted June 12, 2010 Author Posted June 12, 2010 I enjoyed the Partagas Series D 4, so I figured that that I would love the series p. Great feed back, thanks so much. Just started my quest with CCs and man they are the best tasting cigars in the world. CCs could have better quality control; but the taste blows away other cigars away
Colt45 Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 I'm not the biggest fan of the P2 - I know many love them. In the piramide size I prefer the VR Unicos or Montecristo No.2. For Partagas, the 898 or now eliminated SdC line. But that's just me.

I'm not sure if I should buy the tubos or non-tubos. aside from the cigar being in the tube, is there a big difference in the quality of the smoke, construction or anything else between them? The tubos are a bit more money but if the quality is that much better it might be a better buy. appreciate any feedback. thanks

T There should be no difference in quality between tubed and non. If you don't really need / want the tubes, save the money.

JasonInChiTown Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 My favorite, they are truly amazing, complex and rich.
matthew261 Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Given the choice, I prefer a Monte #2...BUT...The P2 is an outstanding smoke. I've found them to be amongst my favorite smokes. Pull the trigger, you won't be disappointed.
