reg Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 If the images don't work, this link should http://www.flickr.com/photos/43024664@N04/...57624143366684/ There are large sizes of each photo Anyway, got these as a gift, wanted to post these before I open the air-sealed package and get them in my humi. Looks fine to me but I don't know what to look for, and better safe than sorry!
reg Posted May 27, 2010 Author Posted May 27, 2010 ok let me know if these work. camera phone pics so they arent great
thechenman Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Now we're talking. Nice box of dark Cohiba Maduros. Enjoy the smokes...
reg Posted May 27, 2010 Author Posted May 27, 2010 can't wait to give them a try. wasn't something on my list because of price and mixed reviews, but for the price(zero) how could I say no I will say that the wrappers feel very dry and hard/thicker than anything I've seen. the packaging is amazing though
thechenman Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Not surprising. Maduro leaf is a higher priming...more exposure to sunlight etc. Definitely makes the leaf more coarse and tougher/thicker in my experience.

investandprosper Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 They look pretty good. Can you take a photo of the box clasp? I received a box of Genios, and they were fake. Your box looks better constructed than mine was. I dissected two of the ones I received, and they were full of short filler and scraps. My brother lit one, and he lost his lunch because of it. Let us know when you smoke one, as it will be pretty definitive if it's authentic
Miami101 Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 I'll say it again...and again in Miami these box flots around...all over the place. There are whare houses full of fake cigars............ Buy your cigars from a good vendor like czar save your self time. Check out some of my old posting on this site the Fakes down here look nicer then the boxes from Cuba. Look up my posting on Monte 2......

AlexOk Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 The box appears to be genuine. But the Anilas appear to me suspicious. The upper boundary seems to be cut very unevenly. Smoke one. If it tastes good, enjoy.
blasio17 Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Do they have a barcode/serial number on the newer warranty seal? From the picture it doesn't look like it has it? Wouldn't this be a sign of fakes?
kafreeman Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Not necessarily. Definately grey market, the barcode was removed so they cannot be tracked where they came from.
reg Posted June 17, 2010 Author Posted June 17, 2010 I believe I know where they came from, and seems like they are a grey market dealer
blasio17 Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Ok - What does it mean by grey market? So they are still authentic then?
Aficionado Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Ok - What does it mean by grey market? So they are still authentic then? Good questions. Gentlemen?Help to understand. Authentic cigars but poor quality?
kafreeman Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Not necessarily. Do they inspect boxes? No. You dont know what youre gonna wind up with. Authentic product? More than likely... Not sold through the proper channels.
reg Posted June 22, 2010 Author Posted June 22, 2010 Alright, well I tried one last night. Man, I know these have gotten mixed reviews, but it was goooood. Pre-light draw was loads of gingerbread. If you are a beginner like me and have trouble picking out the flavors some people can pull out of cigars, might wanna give this one a try. Amazing how exact the flavor is. After lighting the flavors are more cocoa/chocalatey, nice toasted tobacco. If you like cigars like the monte 2 and 4, you really should try this cigar
Disburden Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 I love a dark Maduro wrapper, these looked like they were sweeeeeeet! You're going to put them away, I gather?
