In Russia I repeatedly hear from my acquaintances that they buy custom rolls cigars from Robaina's farm right in Moscow. They buyed'em from vendors who sell all line of CC. I can't trust this info from such vendors and thinking that are fake. Yours opinions mates!

I also have heard of such cigars in Spain, Germany and Italy. I think there is something true in the story but I cannot, so far, figure out.

You can arrange any number of Customs. However they are not all what is portrayed (ie. AR/Hamlet/Cueto etc). Often just a solid custom cigar rolled by an anonymous roller in Cuba who works as part of a team under a smarter than the averagr bear Cuban who has a wife on a foreign passport or work access to Europe.

Not that I would know.

Ok. Nevertheless it means that such cigars are not from famous hands (Robaina etc.) They're only product from good marriaged cubans?

Some can be. Some farmers/rollers are indeed well connected.

However when a store runs out of say genuine Taboada's, it is not hard to arrange a mirror image cigar that magically never runs out ;)

....and at a fraction of the cost.

*Could you be talking about when various cigar specialty store owners have cuban tobacco hand rolled house blends? Various tobacconists and well known cigar shops have genuine cuban tobacco genuinely rolled by professional torcedors and feature it as their own "House Blend."

Nothing wrong with that.

What irks me a little is when they portray these cigars (and others) as rolled by a "named" roller in order to achieve a higher price.

+1) Rob agree with you! I have specially taken an interest here about these cases 'cause some vendors here in RU and EU used our modesty and make profit of us. They payed more money if they buyed custom rolls from "named" roller - they thinks. I don't think so.. Just wish to understand it:) Thx for answers!
