mb55317
I have been lucky enough to try both the Partagas and the Monte (grand edmundo) and both are very good. Ihavent, but I know people who have tried the Trinidad and they have given it a good report also. The Partagas was already and awesome cigar IMO (I preferred this to te Monte) and I will be getting a couple of boxes. Good thing is they're in 10's. JoshMP
It's like a box of Partagas Sublimes! Brilliant, I am "Big Kev" excited for this one.
mm12
Good thing is they're in 10's. This new trend of making certain new releases available only in b10 kind of bothers me. There's no cigar (outside the super-premium range or maybe some gigantic special release) that I would want to buy only 10 of. Either I'd want a few singles to try, or I'd want to stock up on them. So, now instead of having a standard box 2006 Cohiba Piramides and a standard box of Montecristo Sublimes, I have a big stack of 6 10 count boxes taking up a good chunk of precious space on the top shelf of my cabinet. I guess I wouldn't care as much if storage space wasn't issue for me, but I think there should at least be some kind of option here. Maybe they could do packs of 3 and boxes of 25 with the ELs. Or keep the 10's and make a few 50 cabs. I'm already dreading the reorganization that's going to have to occur when the new RA Coronas Gordas comes out. It wouldn't be a problem at all if they just came in standard dress boxes. There's just no need to package robusto extras or corona gordas differently than such vitolas are typically packaged just because they are a special release. Jesuscookies
It is easier to price them in the astronomical range when they are in boxes of 10 as opposed to 25. At least that is my guess for the reason that they are packaged this way. This new trend of making certain new releases available only in b10 kind of bothers me. acidmase
I think their packed in 10's because it will attract more people to purchase LE and it should be cheaper. The RYJ Dukes weren't priced bad at all!!!
thechenman
I like the 10 count box format as well. If Habanos wanted to package them in cabs an option, I would not be opposed, but I think the 10 count boxes allow more people to try them tan would otherwise be the case. El Presidente
Have tried in Havana and were a little moist leading to a sub par experience. It was pouring rain. Should be here next month so am looking forward to reassessing and giving them a workout on the deck As for packaging.....the market has voted with its wallet that it wants 10 count boxes. 10 count boxes introduce a whole new segment of the market to premium cigars outside of the connaisseur who will purchase 25's or 50's. mkz
Well, well, well... Another jaw-breaker... As for the 10ct I thinks its a good thing when it comes to bigger and more expensive cigars. Its also a great way to try a new cigar before going for a 25 or 50ct.
