ER Dubai

Have a friend passing thru Dubai in the next few days..

Cant find much info on ER's out of the Arab states, anything worth picking up?

I like the Punch Robustos ER Emiratos very much.

I smoked 2 and let the others rest.

I second the Punch robustos. Medium bodied, full flavored cigar. Much better than the Swiss release of the same cigar in my not so humble opinion.

Firstly buy from the labeled LCDH cigar shop in the departure hall Prior to departure , this is be best price and service in Dubai other than the lcdh at the marina, there are 2 shops in the departure area but he must find the LCDH, Ask for Duncan or phillipe and try and search through older 97, o98 stock they still have rather than the regionals, these are cheap and hard to find elsewhere.

Agreed - If you are willing to look beyond the ER, there are discontinued cigars worth considering: I picked up last year RA 898 (SSU JUN 01, OSU AGO 02) and ERDM Tainos (ECA NOV 00). Both superb cigars!

Yeah thanks for that info.

Would prefer to get some discontinued cigars but since my friend is the one passing thru and knows nothing about cigars...

Guess it is best if I am very specific else he may come back with rubbish and I just have to smile and show my thanks while cursing him in my mind..
