  1. My prayers go out to your family and you for a speedy recovery and more happy times to come. God Bless.
  2. Welcome!
  3. At the end of the day HSA is a business and their goal is to make a product that produces profit. Many of the La Gloria line is discontinued and exactly what dB69 said if there is any that are produced they will be snatched up quickly. I agree wit dB69, well said sir!
  4. You can also power your fans with an external power supply that goes directly into the power outlet using a 12 volt power supply. Just run thw fan wires to the power supply, then run the wires out the back of the wineador plug it in and bada bing it works. U can also buy a timer and plug it in so that U can control when you want the fans to turn on and off and for how long. I have something like this in my humidor.
  5. Hey Leander and EGundX, U can use Ac power or battery power to hook up the fans in your wineador. AC power would be best though and you could probably get all 3 fans wired into the wineador's AC power supply system. You just have to find your AC power wire and connect it with your fans and connect your ground wire to the wineadors ground. You have to make sure how much power the wineador's emits though in order not to fry your fans. Easiest way is to check the manual and then if need be get fans that can support the power. If you have questions don't hesitate to ask and if you can give me some more info I can asnwer your questions better. CHeers, Marty
  6. by check out I was meaning that the filler of the cigar is long filler so the filler 'checks out' not to be crap. My Blackberry camera isn't the greatest so gotta get/find a better one.
  7. Yah which is why I aint too broken up about just one of the boxes. The others look great and serial numbers and box codes all are authentic. Fonseca No. 1- RTO AGO 06 Rafael Gozalez Corona Extra- BWZ ENE 05 revisidado 04/06 Partagas Sere D. No. 4- AGL JUL 06 Only thing that the Hoyo box has written on it is 'Jaimie 08' in pen top right corner.
  8. I actually got 4 boxes of cigars for 150 mate. 1 box of PSD4 nov 06, Fonseva No.1 ( dont remember the box code), Rafael Gonzalez (forgot the box code) and the hoyo box. The guy passed away so his noece and daughter were sellin them. I will post up the detailed box codes soon. Cheers.
  9. I was leaning towards that as well....why do you think they are not habanos?
  10. You can clearly see where I have cut, used the cut as reference so to speak.
  11. Ok breaking news.....so I didn't have time to smoke one but the curiosity was killing me so I unravelled it. I cut it into 2 pieces and then unravelled it. Turns out that the wrapper, binder, anf filler all check out. There is also a number 22 on the inside of the band where it was glued together. The filler is only cut because of my cut to the cigar but it runs straight through. here are the pics.
  12. I have 25 of these cigars, the box is a hoyo de monterrey box however there are no markings on it what-so-ever. Exact length of the cigar is 6 3/4 inches long....ring guage looks the same as a LGC Tainos so 47? Thanks for the help guys but best bet is to smoke it and open it up to see what's inside.
  13. Could be, but they are in a box of 25. Only way to see for sure if they are real cbans is to smoke and unravel the cigar to check for long filler tobacco....if it actually is tobacco in there or not.
  14. HAHA Ya now looking at it, it actually does lol
  15. its about 6.1-6 3/4 inches long and ring guage is between 42-47 (jusy eyeballing it)
  16. Hi guys, So I recently went out and picked up a box of these Hoyo De Monterrey cigars from a friends aquaintance who was getting rid of his cigars. I picked them up for 50 bucks without taking a long hard look at them. They looked good so I just took the plunge. Once I got home I realized that the box they came in wasn't the original Hoyo Box and soooo the mystery begins. Can anyone identify these Hoyo De Monterrey cigars? I posted up a few pics of 1 stick from the batch. All have the Standard Band B (For medium ring cigars)Embossed 1960s to c2003 -- Discontinued according to Trevor and his great website (Thank you so much mate!) -Marty

  20. Well here comes another month that I will spend more then I have......GAWD its worth it!!
  21. As far as sharpening goes you can really dull it down even more if yo do it yourself. I have the same cutter and found that Colibri cutters aren't bad but aren't the greatest. Xicar cutters usually have a sharper edge that is sustained longer IMO. Or you can go to your corner store and pick up a plastic cutter for 5 bucks...they usually have a good edge.
  22. congrats man! Enjoy!!
  23. This is gonna turn out great!
