  1. Thankyou for your valuable input Dragon. ....No, my understanding is that Cartagena is rich in Architecture and Bonefish. We will...as normal...fish during the day and tour the major religious architectural sites in the evening. We will all be in bed by 9 pm.
  2. What pedantic prattle Yes Windsor, Brisbane. Hop on a plane as we are only 10 minutes from the airport ;-) Don't give that league/Union nonsense as it now appears every future Wallaby back will come from League. ..I am a Union man as well. Just amazed at the ineptitude and shortsightedness of the ARU.
  3. Great standard of review fella's. Keep up the great work!
  4. We are looking at combining a weeks fishing in Cartagaena Columbia (Bonefish) with the Habanos cigar festival end February 2006. Has anyone been to Cartagena? Any recommendations, thoughts, endorsements or otherwise?
  5. went back to this - it was one brought home spare from the dinner Spare my ass No doubt someone at the gala dinner still thinks Habanos sa are cheapskates. Ken "Fingers" Gargett strikes again ;-)
  6. Welcome aboard Bill. There is a ton of experience on this board and even more bullshit. If Ken posts anything ignore it completely. ....you will get along fine
  7. Great review Tampa. There will come a time when people will realise the unadulterated joy of Lonsdales...Long Panetela's etc etc ....don't rush that however
  8. ..that would be the Vegas Robaina Famoso which averaged a 90 rating by the 9 reviewers? What we have here ladies and gentlemen is an LE and Cohiba snob. .....walk away...nothing to see here :-D
  9. Most Enjoyable: Bolivar Corona Gigante Cab 2003 Most Disappointing: HDM Petite Robusto 2004.
  10. Beautifull Box of cigars Dean. I miss the RA 898V
  11. The box looks familiar Dean
  12. Folks...In relation to Ken Gargetts post....two words: CIGAR CZARS ie will the CGU insurance assessors please pay the man but make the cheque out to CIGAR CZARS :-D
  13. Thank's Ken All I can say is that Mel paid a lot less than you did :-D You covered Becky's Horseriding and Piano classes for the year ;-)
  14. Now submitting Tally Monday week as it ties in with Nestor's return to HK. Keep them coming
  15. This was our May 05 blind tasting review. The results are interesting
  16. I have seen some magnificent cabs. I have seen some lousy ones. In the past I would swear that cab shorts and lusi's were vastly superior. I have seen too many great dress boxes of 25 of late to be any longer convinced. My first preference is still Cabs but a great dress box always beats a shitty cab.
  17. Sailor. Ahhh...nice to see that others have had the opportunity to hunt the famous DownUnder Double Breasted "sheila" Habitat is late Friday afternoon waterholes where it can be found gorging itself to inebriation on ripe fermented delicacies. It is essential to approach camouflaged in an Armani leisure suit, Porsche, Swiss Watch and Cohiba.
  18. Stop Whingeing :crying: Corona Corda is one of my favourite sizes ;-)
  19. Aussie tasters received their cigar today. Overseas members should have theirs byWednesday next week. Needless to say, Ken Gargett was at the humidor at 9am this morning looking for the freebie. Like feeding the homeless, :-D
  20. I had a great 375 Holland & Holland Rifle which I had to hand in. I now only pack a Buz Lightyear Deathray.
  21. For our US members...just list the top 40 firearms you have at home :-D
  22. List species that you can hunt while enjoying a cigar....ie.. have no sense of smell ;-) We tackle the big issues here at FOH
  23. Dean, I was with Ken in Havana and saw the Partagas P2's being made in the R&J factory, the Partagas Factory and the Cohiba Factory from memory. I have tried numerous from he R&J Factory and from the Partagas Factory and can not discern a difference. I wil try and source the current R&J & partagas factory codes for you. inconsistency of flavour is going tobe at it's highest at this stage of the cigars development. 12 months will be the real gauge.
