  1. I'm not the best at a review, I usually am in the camp of I like it or I don't. My order arrived yesterday. BTW, these are packaged very very well. These are also my first Nudies. I had to try one ROTT as my outdoor smoking season is coming to a rapid close, so the remaining cigars will have to sit until sometime in April or May when temps start back up for the spring. Cold aroma is all barnyard. Yumm. Draw is perfect, smoke production is really good. I get some grassy notes, a bit of coffee and chocolate and a touch of sweetness. I can't wait until spring. I've got a suspicion that they will be amazing after some rest. Best part of the whole cigar was the fact that I got absolutely NO pepper. So glad to see a NW cigar that has no pepper. It's a big turn off to me and a big reason why I like Cubans so much. Nice to see an affordable and tasty alternative to Cuban PC's. Will be buying more of these and trying out some of the others in the line. Well done!
  2. Have wondered about these. So, not a pepper bomb? May have to break my new rule of no cigars but Cubans. If I may, what vendor did these come from?
  3. Sounds a bit like the US trying to get rid of alcohol use in the early 20th century. That didnt work so well...
  4. That piecaken looks really good, and I don't even like pumpkin pie. Would most likely do some serious damage to it.
  5. That would be a hard no from me too. I drink my whiskey from a mason jar and rest my cigar on the ashtray.
  6. First Thanksgiving in our new house. Our son will be there along with our "adopted " daughter and her soon to be new family. Smoked turkey, ham, dressing and all the usual sides. Doubtful on any cigars being in the picture though. I don't smoke in the house and it's too freaking cold right now to even be able to enjoy a PC outside. Happy Thanksgiving blessings to all.
  7. Unless I smoke in the garage, which I don't really want to do, my cigar smoking is over until spring. Was about 14*f here this morning. Guess that let's me add to the stash and let what I already have age about 6 more months.
  8. Corona gorda would be my first choice.
  9. Construction with my dad at age 14. Was the official gofor. First proper job was with the US Forest Service. Stayed with them for almost 20 years before we moved up to Alaska.
  10. I started on non cuban cigars but now when I smoke one I realize why I like Cubans so much.
  11. That is really good steel in the blade. I have a couple of old pocket knives with Sheffield steel. They are easily sharpened and hold an edge well. Would that cutter actually allow you to cut a robusto?
  12. I believe I would rather spend the 55k on a lot of really good cigars and scotch.....and a trip or 5.
  13. Can you imagine the aroma? Intoxicating I'm sure.
  14. I don't know that wine would be strong enough for me. Probably a good stiff drink of scotch or bourbon would pair better.
  15. A "sig 6" sized custom roll from a member here. Was amazing. Has about 2 or 3 years on it and was quite tasty
  16. First off, turn off the news. My "happy place" is usually outside. Whether working in the yard, garden, building something, fishing or just sitting and relaxing I'm most content when outside.
  17. We've had that before. Was very good. We normally drink coffee from a local roastery. Buy the whole beans and grind at home. He's won several awards for his coffees.

    Home Dry Aged Beef

I must be getting old. When I was growing up all beef was dry aged. Whole sides were hung for 14-21 days before being butchered. Now we have to pay extra, or do it ourselves at home. I have done a couple of whole rib roasts for 30 days. Makes for some mighty tasty ribeyes.
  19. Never slowed down. We actually built a new house, doing almost all the interior finish work ourselves and a good bit of the other work as well. My wife is a teacher and didnt go into the classroom from march until school started back in mid August 2020. Taught via zoom from home.
  20. For some reason I thought that the rum ration was about 115 proof. Guess I was wrong
