  1. If you are a more sedentary person it might work. Experience in retail sales it's a must. I see way too much risk tbh. I'd rather put my money in SP500. Or an Airbnb in Destin, and go fishing.
  2. Very fake.
  3. At the Hotel's "tienda" they had Monte Cristo's all sizes, Romeo's, some Upmann tins, small Partagas. The centerpiece though was the fake box of Robustos, no holograms at all, no barcodes either, but some weird factory code on the box and the Tabacuba label.. I should've taken some pics.
  4. I just came back from Cayo Largo and it was OK. Plenty of food and drinks. Big invasion of mosquitos though, apparently never been seen such, but beside that it was awesome experience. Cigars wise, my jaw dropped when I saw fake Cohibas at the Cienfuegos Airport. Not sure how they got there, but to buy them you have to use your credit card, so I assume it's the government's money. Esplendidos around 650$/ 25. And Ay Cayo Largo del Sur airport the worst fakes ever with Cohiba Robustos for 7$/ cigar. At the Hotel's store there were fake Robustos 25$. Everywhere, to get them you have to use your CC.
  5. Wondering how much is the profit of a NC producer compared to Habanos. Are they in the same ballpark?
  6. I hope that's oak. Softer wood wouldn't take the pressure.
  7. 2 chicks at the same time.
  8. A must imho is mechanical-automatic movement. I would buy second hand from Chrono24, depending on the budget and the deal, Baume & Mercier, Omega, or a vintage Doxa. I like Movado, clean classy, but their quartz watches are nicer. Tissot are great entry level watches also.
  9. The shipping is appealing though.
  10. Maybe the price is only for the cellophane, for people who don't afford the cigar. For smelling purposes.
  11. Just got back from Holguin, no cigars at the resort, at the airport half box of Medio tiempo and half box of Reyes. The craziness hit the Rum sector:
  12. OK, after looking closely sorry to say but it's a fake. The hair is not from the thighs looks more like pubic. Experts can debate, first picture.
  13. Genuine. I can even see the hair from the virgin Cubans thighs .
  14. Never happened to me, but what comes to my mind is a Peltier effect dehumidifier, Eva-Dry or similar, put the damaged stock in a big sealed crate, ammo crate is perfect and run it until 20/65% RH is reached.
  15. Mold grows in moist and warm places, 25C and 75% RH is the best for them. You should ventilate and/or lower your temperature. (Temperature is also important)
  16. beautiful story! i just watched the Alien saga with Sigourney Weaver, wow the alien rat jumping on Ken's face was really the apotheosis of it, too bad you woke up Prez!
  17. Not sure what are you talking about guys, but i know a guy In Havana who has a cousin working at the cigar factory and always have good cigars for sale, mostly Cohibas and he even takes trades with sunglasses and stuff.
  18. I always wanted a Rolex, but my latest buy stopped at the "famous" bullhead Citizen worn by Brad Pitt in Once Upon a time in Hollywood. No Rolex, but still smoking Cohibas.
  19. Maui Jim "Compass", not photochromic though.
  20. "Chan Chan" is my all time favorite. Eclectic guy with his vintage "probably never worn" boots, Seiko watch and fake Behikes.
  21. If you want to use alcohol to wipe it, use a strong bourbon, or a cask strength scotch.
  22. They are real and a shame! I assume Habanos didn't freeze them as they suppose to do, Cuba being Cuba.
  23. The wrapper humidity changes instantly, probably the binder follows in a few hours.
  24. Depends on the cigar thickness also, if you want to go down on the thermodynamic laws to explain why, it would be a long, complicated story. Equilibrium is the key word. Thicker the cigar longer the path is to reach that. Try a cold draw test before lighting the cigar up, if you feel resistance let it sit/dry box it for a couple of days . Construction can be also a factor, volado burns way faster than ligero .
