  1. Hello, Does anyone know why I'm unable to view the Discord thread? I know I haven't been the most active here, but I'm well above the 25 post requirement. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
  2. Wait, am I missing something? I just tried accessing the thread and it said that I need 25 posts to access...🤔
  3. New world cigars try to copy everything in the CC world. There's no comparison.
  4. That's crazy fast! Do you run into burn issues often? I try to smoke as slow as possible while keeping the cigar lit. Robusto at least 60 min for me. DC is at least 2 hours.
  5. Glad this is coming back! Always wanted to join in.
  6. Happy 60th Birthday, @El Presidente !! I bought my first ever box of CC's from you years ago when I first joined. You have left your mark on this world indeed! 🙂
  7. Hey Everyone, Been a while since I've posted here, but I've recently been encountering mold problems in my humidors. I have 2 thermoelectric wineadors that I've been storing my cigars in for the past 10 years. Neither of these wineadors are ever plugged in, so they essentially function as coolidors. I live in Chicago, and keep them in a basement. It usually stays around 68 degrees Fahrenheit, but gets slightly warmer in the summer, and slightly cooler in winter. When I first got these wine coolers, I had them plugged in for a few months. I was having condensation issues, so, per @PigFish's recommendation, I've used them unplugged ever since. Again, basically just coolidors. This has worked fine for me until about the past year or 2. Now, I'm finding mold on various cigars, on dress boxes, and even on some wood boxes as well. I have been using 65% heartfelt beads the entire time, and have been considering switching to Boveda 65% packs. There have been a few occasions during this 10 year period where I've had to change the beads, as they will become yellow, and rancid (that kind of 'sweet' smell you hear people talk about). Another thing that I'm unsure of is if they NEED some kind of airflow? I know many people with coolidors find that it's not necessary, but I also see just as many posts calling for small computer fans inside so that the pockets of humidity don't stagnate. FYI, the drain plugs are all currently plugged up and covered. Furthermore, I'm wondering if it's worth plugging in, and turning the wineadors back on again. I have another condominium property nearby. We keep this at a more stable 69 degrees Fahrenheit. Perhaps with the more mild ambient environment in the condo, they would do fine turned on. That way I would be able to not only keep them at slightly lower temps, but also get some airflow from the wineador built in fans running. Thank you for the help!
  8. Misread this at first. Thought you were asking if anyone has ever "had a cigar with an enjoyable flavour". 😂
  9. Holy shit! Where did you get the 8-9-8!?!?
  10. Oof... That's a depressing take, but sadly within the realm of possibility.
  11. This^^^^ They need to spend time in below freezing temps to ensure larvae is killed off.
  12. Thanks for the updates all! Very pleased to hear that things are going as best as one could hope for!
  13. @Jimmy_jack That guys ashes are definitely real. He has a website, and I've read interviews with him talking about his long ashes. There are also several videos hes posted to prove it. The cigar is still smoking and burning and he'll crack off the ash in one solid chunk. I think half of it is a perfectly constructed cigar, and half of it is experience. Although I also imagine a big part of this experience has helped his ability to pick out a cigar that has the potential for long ash...
  14. As long as Cuban cigars become legal here, I'd say San Diego, USA.
  15. wow, great work!
  16. Anyone from Cali know if the Tijuana LCDH has these? Thinking about going soon.
