  1. I'm a fan, too. Siglo VI, Magicos and Robustos are my most frequent selections. I recently rekindled my admiration of the Lanceros - I have a box from 2010 and they are sublime; and I always enjoy a Siglo IV with a bit of age on it. While I enjoy the occasional Siglo II, I sometimes think a purchase of the smaller sizes can be difficult to justify from a bang per buck perspective. On balance, however, I'm rarely disappointed.
  2. Put me down for a Porsche 911 too. (I have a 996 Carrera coupe). Not as raw a driving experience as my first Porsche, which was a Carrera 3.2; man I regret selling that. My other fave is a Range Rover - a great all-rounder, but likes a drink... Cheers.
  3. Brilliant! Thanks for posting. (I can't wait for the test to get here, in Perth.)
  4. In general I have enjoyed the BHK 52s. One or two I've smoked have been a little inconsistent, though. I have a box of BHK 56s but haven't tried one yet but having read all the posts I'll try one tomorrow. (Seems a good excuse to me...) I thoroughly enjoyed the 1966 - one I'll keep for special occasions, I think. Haven't tried a PE. I also like the Maduro 5 line, particularly the Genios. I've been smoking these quite a lot lately. I let them sit for a while (8 or 9 months) and found they took on a fuller, more complex flavour. I think the Secretos packs a good punch for its size - handy when time is short.

  10. Hello and welcome.
  11. Sorry. The video is from 2010 not 2012. Apologies.
  12. I stumbled on this video posting and thought I'd share it with you. Just wondering...Do these humidors (and cigars) find themselves in private hands or are they snapped up by distributors and businesses? Anyway, I was a little gobsmacked by these. Hope you enjoy the video.
  13. I have been playing drums since the 80s but tinnitus and back problems have taken their toll. To compensate for the reduced playing routine I have developed a penchant for limited edition snare drums (Brady, Craviotto, DW), and I'm running out of space. I think I need help. I'm trying to suppress the hunter gatherer instinct from encroaching into cigar territory. Wish me luck.
  14. Have a well earned break, Trevor. The website is a fantastic resource, being both informative and educational. Thank you very much.
  15. Welcome!
  16. Very sorry to hear that news, Rob. My deepest condolences to you and your family.
  17. Hello. I came across this photo-essay documenting cigar production at El Laguito. Nothing new here, but some nice images. If you have a few minutes, why not check it out? Here's the url: http://wonderaday.com/blog/1864/ Enjoy the weekend.
  18. Hi Rob. Hope it all works out for you and Cohiba. I still miss Mac, my Golden Retriever. Hang in there mate.

  22. Thanks for making me welcome. I'll definitely try to get to the next Perth meeting. It'll be great to meet some fellow admirers of Cuban goodness! Till then, thanks again and enjoy your next smoke.
  23. G'day. I can't believe it has taken me so long to find this site! It's great to be on board. Looking forward to joining in. In the meantime, take care.
