mbrody Posted December 28, 2009 Share Posted December 28, 2009 FLASH///The Mag46 wins 2009 Habanos Cigar of the Year. The first 08 Mag46 I smoked was instantly a cracker. The memory is vivid: Strong medium/full tobacco opening then cocoa, nuts with a little cream, then mix in more cream in the middle third' finally progressing to a fuller bodied final third with a core of toasted tobacco. Every third was rich and deep. I would not call the flavors "complex" in the case of many different flavor sensations, but the development is there and the changes are there, albeit in a different manner. This Corona Gorda is also an appreciated size that allows a copious amount of smoke, excellent mouth feel and not too much, nor too little, smoking time - it's just right...! Now, each Mag46 after the first has exhibited similiar profiles. Consistency has been excellent. For this reason, the Mag46 gets 2009 Habanos of the Year.
