thanks for posting.

be very interested to know what you thought. top vintage and great name.

that said, and as much as i think that great burgundy just might be the only genuine evidence of a divinity that we have, i have always struggled with corton (red, as opposed to the whites, which i love - have more bonneau du martray corton charlemagne in the cellar than any other white burg, though that is still only a very small quantity). have had some very old ones over the years that have been fascinating reds rather than great burg but never had one that has had the absolute wow factor.

i know others have been a lot more fortunate than myself with these wines and i live in hope. and hopefully this one was a star.

I has his 99 Burgundy and it was good, but still could of been cellared a little longer!

The 1995 was fantasic it had HUGE crushed mint leave nose, which I never saw in a wine before! Was good to the last drop, I think I almost licked the bottle clean lol
