Taino Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Is it possible to make some search/selection feature in this section in order to find a review of a particular cigar?. Maybe before entering a review one has to select from a standard menu brand, model and year? That would be a great feature, otherwise some times is hard to find reviews of specific vitolas and brands.
thechenman Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 That is actually a very good suggestion. I've often just scrolled through the reviews, but I guess I'm a simplton...
samb Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 x2 on that, its a really good idea. I think it would greatly help.
Colt45 Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Fred, the search engine is a bit less "user friendly" than that of the original forum. Add to it that we don't all use the same style topic names - some type the complete name, some use abbreviations, some start with a date - Partagas vs. Parti, vs. '01 Partagas, etc. But if you do a search and limit it to the review forum and topic title, you should eventually be able to find hat you are looking for. Here's another thing you can try if you haven't already: At the bottom of the forum review forum, you can set the order of posts to topic title. This will at least give you the threads in numerical and alphabetical order, which may help a little.
Taino Posted October 21, 2009 Author Posted October 21, 2009 Thanks Colt, I know what you mean, but maybe what I wanted to say is to create some way of tabulation or methodic and standard way to introduce a review before you write it. This way search will be much easier for everybody, but most of all I think the review forum will do its work better. If you want to make a review and you have to choose "brand" from a list, and then "vitola" from another pre set list, and so on, everything will be organized therefore much searchable for animals like myself
