Bartolomeo Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Tight grey ash, Medium-Fast burn rate Dry wrapper with some veins Easy draw the whole cigar Some canoeing at first on the burn but evened out on the 2/3 Flavors were Cream, Leather, Slight Perfume(Floral) Early initial puff had some pepper and some tannins, some sweet cream developed as well Smoke time was 34 minutes I would rate this as Med-Full cigar IMHO A little harsh at the end Not a bad cigar but I am not buying a box right now 8.5/10
Bartolomeo Posted October 16, 2009 Author Posted October 16, 2009 Partagas Shorts LPA SEP 07 White and Tight ash with cone, quick burn rate Musty Tan colored wrapper with some veins, very dry Too easy of a draw at first then settled in nicely with some resistance, Even burn throughout Flavors were Nutty, Cheesecake, pepper Early initial puff was burnt marshmallow with a hint of pepper, very nice Smoke time was 39 minutes I would rate this as Med-Full cigar IMHO Dry Sweetness all the way until the end, was a lot smoother than previous review Pre draw was very dusty Its amazing the difference between this review and the earlier review(see above), just a smidgen below the PLPC for my favorite Petite Corona so far Would buy a box with this box code only, I think the age made all of the difference here 9.1/10 Bart
thechenman Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Interesting. Thanks for the insight Bart. It is always great to see these kinds of comparisons.
bassman Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Good to see different opinions. I have an 07 cab, but since I stocked up on 99 TPCs, the Shorts will get some good age.
