Partagas Presedente

Smoked one & only one from the late 80s and loved it. Recent ones have lost their power, though. 99s burned poorly, 04s were bland & 06s improved a bit but still pretty mild. In light of the increase in strength of the 08 Lusis, I was wondering if the 08 Presedentes might have more power in them? Anyone tried these?

I will try a recent Partagas Presidente next week for you. I have never had one I have enjoyed but the 08's may be a surprise. Lets find out.

I could only find a Sept 07 yesterday and to be honest it was like every other Partagas Presidente I have had. medium bodied mediocrity. Have called for more boxes to come up from the warehouse and I am hoping one of them willl be an 08.

Medium bodied mediocracy does not bode well. Quite frankly, that's how the 06 & 07 P2s I've tried could be described. I was hoping the Presedente might be a good alternative.

I opened a box PBS MAR08 and a few had split at the head. That's what I get for not inspecting them when they arrived. I'm sure they got hurt in transit not from storage, anyway they're not big smokes, medium bodied but nothing great. I'll smoke the six that are damaged and put the rest to bed, but my box is no powerhouse.
