asb2106 Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Never seen a Cohiba in a cardboard box.. Is this new packaging for Cohibas? EDIT** This was gifted to me
BigGuns Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 The Cohiba packs (5er, for example) come in a cardboard package with each individual cigar packaged in its own cardboard box within the package. The box you have is consistent with what I've seen/had.
android Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Looks ok to me...almost the entire line of regular production Cohiba cigars can be purchased in 3 & 5 count boxes like you have.
asb2106 Posted August 13, 2009 Author Posted August 13, 2009 Awesome! Thanks for the responses Looking forward to the smoke
Ginseng Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Yes, These come in cardboard packs but that is one ugly cigar. The authenticity of that cigar is only as good as the person you got it from. Wilkey

thechenman Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 The cigar is fugly, but the band looks good.
asb2106 Posted August 13, 2009 Author Posted August 13, 2009 The cigar is fugly, but the band looks good. He is a co worker- i trust him to not give me a fake, not knowingly atleast. Another co worker and I still feel its alittle off.. the font looks bolder on the cursive writing.. (on the band)
Ginseng Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 He is a co worker, he got them from somewhere..... sorry- i trust him to not give me a fake, not knowingly atleast. Another co worker and I still feel its alittle off.. the font looks bolder on the cursive writing.. (on the band) Hard to say anything more definitive without a clear, close up shot. As for where you say they came from...that is one of the more common routes by which one might encounter fakes. In this case, I'm afraid the conservative stance to take is to consider it counterfeit. Doesn't mean you shouldn't smoke it and thank him for it. Where it goes from there depends on how much you know, your relationship with that coworker, and his knowledge and experience. Wilkey

More to come tonight
sounddust Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 My fave cigar looking like it was attacked by a face-hugger. Do let us know how they smoke, there should be glorious cream, fresh grass, vanilla, dark cocoa and coffee with some sweet spice sprinkled on top, if it's under 5 years of age.
Buch0 Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I have had a 3 pack of the esplendidos before and they were extraordinary. Will be interesting to see how this smokes though.
