Kangaroo495 Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Was buying some cigars at the Partagas Factory a few months ago. I took a box of JL2 and box of Monte2, and got talking to the shop assistant and barman. After a while, I paid for my stuff, but the assistant called me back and gave me 2 cigars with no band as a gift. I didn't ask what they were, as he gave them to me in a hush-hush manner, as if it was a secret or something. Smoked them later on, and though they were young, the taste was quite good. Very fresh and grassy - I guess you could say vegetal with a touch of honey. The shape from memory was robusto or possibly a tiny bit smaller. Any ideas what it could've been? There was a lady in the shop rolling fresh cigars, but these ones didn't look like the ones she was rolling..
laficion Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 They could very well be the new Partagas Series D 5 but I may be mistaken
Kangaroo495 Posted July 9, 2009 Author Posted July 9, 2009 They could very well be the new Partagas Series D 5 but I may be mistaken Do you think they would give such a cigar as a gift? I was thinking it was probably something less valuable, like a Hoyo or SLR or something...
Mr. Japan Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 They coul djust be two fresh rolled cigars that they usually hand to people that sit in the VIP room.Normally..ordinary cigars rolled by La China or other torcedors in the factory (and passed for La China's)
