Has your taste, for your preferred brand, changed over the years? ie: Boli was your preferred brand in the 1st third of your smoking life, Partagas 2nd and so on..... If not brand, maybe vitola?

Definitely. I had one favourite brand and now I have about 6  What has stayed consistent is that my favourite vitola is anything with 42 ring. Fatter, thinner, fine for a change but for me the natural gauge is 42.

Totally unrelated (or is it? ) those old enough may remember the answer to life , the universe and everything was....42

I wouldn't say my preference has changed, but it has expanded. Instead of being locked into Bolivar RC's, I'm fine with trying other marques and vitolas as well. I call it being open minded!

I completely agree with bolivr and Deep thought... though I started, and occasionally enjoy, robustos and piramides, I prefer ring gauges up to 46, with 42 being the magic number (thus, it has been sad to see the dwindling numbers in the line up of coronas). Regarding marcas, I have also diversified...

My preference for Vitolas has changed.

I used to love larger guage cigars like Robustos and Corona Gordas... now I'm more into my Dalias, Lonsdales and Churchills.

As long as a cigar tastes good, I've never been overly concerned about what band it wears. As for sizes, back in the before time, I admit to

favoring robustos / toros / torpedos. In the main, I now pretty much prefer sub fifty ring cigars of various lengths.

My tastes have not changed as such however I have expanded on them to include other brands. Kind of like Scotch or wine, one may be in the mood for something strong one day whereas the next, something more mild and creamy.

I started with Diplomaticos 2 but now enjoy Cohibas, Montecristos, VEgas Robaina, RJ's the list goes on.

I normally prefer a larger guage/Vitola, from 46 to 52 however have enjoyed smaller cigars such as Cohiba secretos.

Robg, I can say that this is true for me, and it's one of the reasons why I tend to buy singles instead of boxes. My preferred brand changes rather often. 1st Montecristo - 2nd Bolivar - 3rd Montecristo again.

Vitolas also changed - 1st Torpedo - 2nd DC - now Minuto.

Though I haven't been smoking for many years, so I'm probably just getting used to all the flavours, sizes etc. In the end, the main thing is the cigar tastes good.
