bassman Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Benicio Del Toro nails the part of Che, but I've seen a lot of movies about & set during the Cuban revolution & this one wins the prize of most boring!
demiurgic Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 I saw part one and two and totally disagree with you. It's awesome docu-drama! The movie is definately slow and the two parts seem a bit daunting ( saw 4+ hours at once). The slow development, and lack of "action" may have bothered you I think. Overall this movie is a fantastic experiance however. Especially enjoyed the culmination of their struggle and his death in part two which leaves a lasting impression on the viewer about what it means to be a real revolutionary

Che was an amazing viewing experience (in my opinion). If you enjoyed Che then I would HIGHLY recommend seeing "Diarios de motocicleta" (Motorcycle Diaries). It is a superb film- One sentence brief on it: The dramatization of a motorcycle road trip Che Guevara went on in his youth that showed him his life's calling.
bassman Posted January 20, 2010 Author Posted January 20, 2010 Loved Motorcycle Diaries. Still find "Che" boring. In Motorcycle, the shot where Che is walking down the railroad tracks is in Temuco, Chile. I've walked those same tracks.

I've walked those same tracks. I can see how you would think it is boring... I most definitely enjoyed the Motorcycle Diaries more, but Che is a classic. Sometimes in life the boring things are the ones you will end up loving and supporting- Just depends. Now with cigars, whole different story... I need a "kick" or special stick that stands out among the others. And on some levels I agree that Che is boring.
reg Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 I just got this movie and I'm looking forward to watching it. I don't mind slow movies, hopefully this one will be good
ZinZan Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I've seen both and yes u need patience for this. It must be one the slowest movies ever, but love cinematography and the character building. But in all honesty they've could have done it 1 movie. Motorcycle Diaries it's bit more light entertainment compare to Che.
