1st sorry for the fast post baby just went to sleep and only have a small windows to post, and smoke cigar:

Well folks I'm getting old so I had to change up my gear to hit the back country. I should be at four boats/Kayaks/Canoes/etc when I'm done. I just pick up the new Native 12 which is half Kayak half canoe. You can stand on this Kayak, and pole the flats looking for fish. Also it moves twice the speed of my old Kayak, and the chair is design for people with back problems. I also started taking radio, and other items like a map/Compass etc. I'm in love with this new Native 12 I can even use the push pole to anchor, and be more stable to stand up. It is like fishing from a dock, and it is great if you been sitting down for long periods. The only thing I wish is that I got the bigger one 14/16 feet, but I will pick that up next so I can take other people out with me.

I hit Flamingo and started the day by almost running running into a Croc, and hooking into a Snook on my first cast....I lost that one almost to the boat. I was busy lighting up a Monte 2, and could not real him in...

High light of the day: I had been going for a few years now to the Everglades, and once from far saw some Flamingo's. The park told me I was crazy perhaps to protect the birds. Also other guilds, and bush people like myself had never seen them. Well I got lucky had one come near to see what I was doing, and saw another school of them in the wild. (Maybe she wanted to see what I was smoking) ;):D It was great to pole the flats like the old timers. I was not able to hit my goal due to out going tide, but will be back soon to keep learning the area. At present I working learning this part of the part little by little....I will be back soon....Also there was a fire in the park in the Hell Bay area I was able to get some photos.

Cigars:

2 back to back:Monte 2 started @ 3:00AM with Cuban Coffee.

San Cristobal

Fish count: No large fish

3 Snook

1 Tarpon

1 Cat Fish

Thanks for the feed back. There is nothing like a cigar when I'm out on the water. It is like having a fine cigar when looking at god work of art.

"In my slumber she is like a dream to me. Slowly my eyes begin to close, and she calls to me in my dream. She calls me back to her, and from my bed I make the trip. Across warms water, and thoughts of the past hidden in my mind as I make my way.

Cigar at hand deeper I move into the Mangroves in my mind I’m almost there perhaps the next turn might show me the path. I hear the water moving, and feel the wind picking up there must be a bay beyond this turn.

Out of the shadows of the Mangroves, button wood I break into the bay. I here at last the warm Sun reaches my back, and she provides a view into my mind, and soul. I’m once again lost for words, and I’m once again deep in love.

I have returned again like an old friends returning home for a short period of time. I know it is not forever, but in my mind it was so real.

The sound of an alarm fills my dream, and I return to present time. The thoughts of last night trip slowly slip away from my memory now only small parts remain, and I prepare for work. The problems fill my day, and last night events become distant.

All that remains is that small feeling, and desire to return…..to return"
