CoRo 2000

A review I have been meaning to do for some time as it was such a cracker cigar. Came from a box ABR 00 – the rest illegible. This is from contemporaneous notes. It was from a box that Hamlet chose for me a few years ago in Havana. We found a few at the back of the shelves at R&J and this was the one he liked. He was absolutely spot on.

Good construction – looks exciting. The aroma cold was pronounced perfumes and bathroom talc.

Firing it up, it was immediately a wonderfully subtle cigar. Complex, fragrant, like rose petals and a top notch Burgundy. It was like smoking a cloud of fragrantly perfumed mist.

Then it moved into a creamy phase. Gorgeously creamy. I felt like I was putting on weight just smoking it. A slow even burn and it remained a subtle and mild cigar.

The flavours evolved throughout, waxing and waning. Extremely mild, if a complaint then too mild. One of the finest cigars I've ever enjoyed and certainly the most refined, elegant, gossamer-like cigar I've encountered.

Just loved it. 97, though that seems mean and miserly.

Wow - sounds like a fantastic cigar! Put a few aside, along with some '01 SLR DC, and I'll be happy to try them if I ever make it to Brisbane.

I think I'll come during dry season........

fortunately i have a few more of those left than i do the SLR DC 01'S.

we don't have wet and dry seasons here - we have drought and flood.

Great review! I've also had wonderful experiences with the Cohiba robusto. I'm weak, unless I purchase one with a little age on them, invariably they're smoked up fast. Gotta work on my will power.
