KB24 Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I just got this new gadget and its a cell phone sized video recorder that plugs directly into your computer and allows you to save video clips right to your desktop. Below is the link: http://www.theflip.com/index.shtml It records up to 60 minute clips. I was thinking about doing a tour through my humidor and sharing my collection but wanted to find out if that would be of any interest to the forum. Maybe also throw in some commentary regarding certain boxes and certain cigars and my opinions of them. Thoughts? -Patrick
PartagasIV Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Great idea! I have one of these I got as a birthday gift but have yet to use it...I'd love some humi tours, though.
tyler4178 Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I would love to meet your family and hear your thoughts!

I'd love to see your collection, and hear the commentary on the ones that really surprised you, likes/dislikes within the collection, those that were insipid at first and came around a while later, etc. etc. All the good stuff of a humidor documentary.
jquest63 Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Cool gadget! Definitely interested in the humidor tour
Cohiba007 Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I have the Flip Mino and it is great. Takes great videos. I would certainly be interested in a humidor tour Patrick. Bring it on!
KB24 Posted May 19, 2009 Author Posted May 19, 2009 My only question is how big of a file would I be able to upload and the videos that come from the Flip are .AVI files. Would those work? -Patrick

Would those work?-Patrick Hey mate, I would recommend that you create a Youtube account and upload your .avi file. Youtube have an encoder that will convert the .avi to a smaller size .FLV file (Flash type) and that will allow it to stream alot faster. I look forward to seeing the video. Cheers, Elie.
KB24 Posted May 19, 2009 Author Posted May 19, 2009 Eli, Thanks for the information. I created an account this morning on youtube and it seems pretty easy to upload videos and post them. I will try to get the video done today or tomorrow and will post it when its ready. -Patrick
